Kissos FC Kissonergas is a Cypriot football club based in Kissonerga of the Paphos District.

History

The club was founded in 2007 after the merger of two clubs: Kissos Kissonergas and AEM Mesogis. The team played 3 times in Cypriot Third Division and 4 times in Cypriot Fourth Division The club refounden then again in 2015 and is since then playing in the POASP division of smaller football teams in Paphos.

AE Mesogis is a Cypriot football team currently playing in the Cypriot Fourth Division. The team is established in Mesogi near Paphos.

The Cypriot Third Division is the third tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league are promoted to the Cypriot Second Division, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to the STOK Elite Division.

The Cypriot Fourth Division was the fourth tier football league competition in Cyprus, ran by the Cyprus Football Association. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league were promoted to the Cypriot Third Division, and the lowest finishing teams were relegated to the amateur leagues.

Pegeia is a town in the Paphos District of Cyprus. Pegeia is situated mainly on the steep slopes of the coastal hills inland from Coral Bay, at the southern end of the Akamas Peninsula, and it lies 14 km north of Paphos. It has a large population of British ex-pats and a growing number of holiday homes and apartments. In the town centre can be found a town hall, church, police station and several small shops, restaurants and banks. Due to its hillside location many parts of the town offer views over Coral Bay and Paphos.

The club was promoted to the third division the following year and from season 2007/08 competes in second division. The team has been promoted to the first division by finishing third. The club in four years achieved to get promoted from Paphos local league to Cypriot first division. They were relegated to the Cypriot Second Division in the 2008–2009 season after just one year in the top flight. In 2013, the club was dissolved due to financial problems.
