Kito Poblah (born September 18, 1987) is a Canadian football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He most recently played for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. Poblah didn't qualify for non-import status until after the 2011 CFL Draft, and, as such, was only eligible to be taken in the 2011 supplemental draft. He was drafted by the Blue Bombers with the team forfeiting a first-round 2012 CFL Draft pick to do so and signed a contract with the team on June 4, 2011. [1] [2] He played college football with the Central Michigan Chippewas.

Professional career

Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Poblah spent three seasons as a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League. In three seasons in Winnipeg he totaled 53 receptions for 534 yards with one touchdown. His best season was the 2012 CFL season in which he had 41 receptions for 417 yards and his lone touchdown. Poblah's missed significant playing time due to injuries in both the 2011 and 2013 CFL season's.

BC Lions

On January 31, 2014, Poblah was traded to the BC Lions in exchange for import defensive back Korey Banks. [3] He played for one season for the Lions, registering 15 catches for 182 yards and one touchdown. He was released on May 25, 2015. [4]

Kito Poblah now currently runs a youth football camp called FINISH FIRST FOOTBALL based out of Winnipeg, MB.

He was signed by the Saskatchewan Roughriders as an undrafted free agent in 2008. Bowman has also been a member Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Montreal Alouettes, and Edmonton Eskimos/Elks. He played college football at Oklahoma State. Bowman was a Grey Cup Champion and three time CFL All-Star having accumulated 652 receptions for 9,491 yards and 49 touchdowns in 141 career games.

Markus Howell is the receivers coach for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a former professional Canadian football wide receiver and kick returner who played for 11 years for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Ottawa Renegades, and Calgary Stampeders. The 2011 CFL season was the 58th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it was the 54th season of the Canadian Football League. The complete schedule was released on February 18 and featured the defending Grey Cup champion Montreal Alouettes opening the season against the visiting BC Lions on Thursday, June 30, 2011. The season was among the most notable in the modern era for the competitiveness of the teams; going into the final week, five teams were tied for first place in the league, a first in modern CFL history. It was also the first time since 1982 that all teams finished with fewer than 12 wins in the regular season. Of the 45 draft selections, 24 players were drafted from Canadian Interuniversity Sport institutions, which is the lowest percentage of CIS players taken since 2006.
