Świnoujście is a city in Western Pomerania and seaport on the Baltic Sea and Szczecin Lagoon, located in the extreme north-west of Poland. Situated mainly on the islands of Usedom and Wolin, it also occupies smaller islands. The largest is Karsibór island, once part of Usedom, now separated by the Piast Canal dug in the late 19th century to facilitate ship access to Szczecin.

Milionerzy (Millionaires) is a Polish game show based on the original British format of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? The show is hosted by Hubert Urbański. The main goal of the game is to win 1 million Polish zloty by answering twelve multiple-choice questions correctly. There are three basic lifelines - fifty fifty, phone a friend and ask the audience ; and also two other lifelines - ask the expert and switch the question. From March to December 2010 contestant could choose risk game, where the second guaranteed sum was not guaranteed. The first series of Milionerzy was broadcast from 3 September 1999 to 26 January 2003, the second version was broadcast from 19 January 2008 to 19 December 2010, and the third version has been broadcast since 9 February 2017. Since 2017, it is shown every Monday to Thursday at 8:55 p.m on the Polish commercial television station TVN. The executive producer of the programme was Endemol in the first version, Intergalactic in the second version, and Jake Vision in the third version. Since 2008, when a contestant gets the second question correct, they will leave with 1,000 zł. When a contestant gets the seventh question correct, they will leave with 40,000 zł.
Na dobre i na złe is a Polish television medical drama series, broadcast on TVP2 since 7 November 1999. It is the longest-running weekly primetime drama on Polish television and one of the longest-running medical dramas in the world. The show revolves around the lives of doctors and patients of a teaching hospital in a fictional town of Leśna Góra near Warsaw.
Maja Ostaszewska is a Polish actress. She made her screen debut appearing in small role in the 1993 historical drama film Schindler's List, before playing leading role in the drama film The Haven (1998), for which she received Polish Film Festival Award for Best Actress. She received her second Polish Film Festival Award for Best Actress for Prymas – trzy lata z tysiąca (2000). Since then, Ostaszewska appeared in more than 30 motion pictures and received five Polish Academy Award for Best Actress nominations, winning twice: for Jack Strong (2014) and Body (2015).
Star Guard Muffin also known as SGM is a Polish band formed in Brzeg in 2008, and suspended in February 2012. It consisted of vocalist Kamil Bednarek, guitarist Szymon Chudy, keyboardist Radek Szyszkowski, bassist Kuba Wojciechowski and drummer Maciek Pilarz. The band is widely associated with reggae music, including roots reggae, ragga and dancehall.

The show involves eight celebrities and/or artists portraying various iconic singers in order to win a cash prize for a charity of their choice. Since series 18 the show has been presented by Maciej Rock and Maciej Dowbor, whilst the judging panel has consisted of Piotr Gąsowski, Małgorzata Walewska and Robert Janowski.
A Chronicle of Amorous Accidents is a 1986 Polish drama film directed by Andrzej Wajda, starring Paulina Młynarska and Piotr Wawrzyńczak. It tells the story of two Polish adolescents who fall in love on the eve of World War II. The film is based on the novel of the same title by Tadeusz Konwicki. It premiered in Poland on 24 November 1986.
The Teacher or The Teach is a Polish television crime drama series, which began screening from 2 October 2016. It stars Maciej Stuhr as Paweł, a high school teacher, who investigates criminal cases. Katarzyna Dąbrowska portrays Marta, another teacher and some-time love interest. Paulina Szostak appears as a student, Ewelina, in two seasons. The first season of ten episodes was a rating success for Canal + as it broke their all-time record and won two awards, including Best TV Series at the Polish Film Awards. A second season of eight episodes began in October 2017. After a gap of six years, a third season of eight episodes was broadcast from September 2023.
Arkadiusz Jakubik is a Polish actor, scriptwriter, voice actor and musician. Known mainly for portrayal of a disabled cop Rysio in 13 posterunek sitcom and for wide collaboration with Wojciech Smarzowski. A 1992 graduate of Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts – Faculty in Wrocław. In 2008 he founded and became the vocalist of a rock band Dr Misio.

Gierek is a 2022 Polish biographical film directed by Michał Węgrzyn. It is based on the life of Edward Gierek, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers' Party from 1970 to 1980, who in the movie is performed by Michał Koterski. The script was written by Heatcliff Janusz Iwanowski, Michał Kalicki, Krzysztof Nowak-Tyszowiecki and Rafał Woś. It was produced by Global Studio and distributed by Dystrybucja Mówi Serwis. The production started on 27 July 2020. The film was set to premiere on 15 October 2021, but was eventually moved to 21 January 2022. It was filmed in Katowice, Ustroń, Dąbrowa Górnicza, and Zawiercie.
