Klaus Zyciora (born 13 December 1961) is a German automotive designer. He is vice president at Changan and in charge of the group's global design.
Zyciora was born on 13 December 1961, in Hamburg, Germany. [1]
Zyciora studied industrial design at Braunschweig University of Art. He graduated in 1989 and began working at Volkswagen as an automotive interior designer. [2] His first project at the company was designing the interior of the Volkswagen Golf Mk4. He later became exterior designer and concept designer at Volkswagen before becoming head of Interior Design in 2000 then head of Exterior Design in 2002, before becoming head of Design (for the Volkswagen marque) and executive director in 2007. In April 2020, Zyciora was promoted to Head of Design for the Volkswagen Group as a whole, [3] with his previous position being taken over by Jozef Kabaň. [4]
Zyciora is the designer of all current Volkswagen ID. series production models; the ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.6, [5] ID.7, ID. Buzz and the ID. Buggy concept. [6]
In December 2022, Volkswagen Group announced that Zyciora will be leaving the company and that Michael Mauer will be replacing him as the Head of Volkswagen Group Design on 1 January 2023. [7]

Jozef Kabaň is a Slovak automobile designer. He started his career as a designer at Volkswagen. In 2003 he moved to Audi as an exterior design assistant. In 2007 he advanced to the position of Chief of Exterior Design at Audi. He was exterior designer of the Volkswagen Lupo, SEAT Arosa, Bugatti Veyron and Škoda Octavia. He has been Chief of Exterior Design at Škoda Auto since 2008. In early 2017 he left Škoda for BMW to become its head of design replacing Karim Habib. In 2019 he changed position within BMW Group and headed design at its subsidiary Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. After half a year he decided to leave Rolls-Royce and BMW Group returning to VW in January 2020, this time for its main VW brand. In early 2023, Kabaň was fired by Volkswagen and replaced by Bentley designer Andreas Mindt after failing to impress VW's CEO. Bentley replaced Mindt with Tobias Sühlmann.
The Volkswagen Up is a city car produced by the Volkswagen Group since 2011. It was unveiled at the 2011 International Motor Show Germany (IAA). Production of the Up started in December 2011 at the Volkswagen Plant in Bratislava, Slovakia. It is part of the part of the New Small Family (NSF) series of models, alongside the SEAT Mii and Škoda Citigo which are rebadged versions of the Up, with slightly different front and rear fascias. The SEAT and Škoda versions were manufactured in the same factory, before being withdrawn from sale in 2021 and 2020 respectively. Production of the Up ended in October 2023. A battery electric version, called E-up, was launched in autumn 2013.
The Volkswagen Passat for the North American and Chinese markets is a mid-size sedan that debuted in January 2011 at the Detroit Auto Show. It replaced the B6 Passat in the North American market. The Passat NMS was marketed in North America, the Middle East, South Korea and China, with no wagon/estate version available. In China, it is sold alongside the long-wheelbase version of the European Passat known as the Magotan.

The Volkswagen ID.3 is a battery electric small family car (C-segment) produced by Volkswagen since 2019. The Volkswagen Group MEB platform is a modular car platform for electric cars developed by the Volkswagen Group and its subsidiaries. Prior to Hyundai, Lee worked for General Motors (2000–09) and Volkswagen AG (2010–16), where his notable designs included the Chevrolet Camaro (2010), Bentley Continental GT, and Bentley Flying Spur.
