Klein Aub is a village in the Rehoboth Rural constituency in the Hardap Region of central Namibia. [1] Situated on the junction of the unpaved roads C14 and D1290 it contains a store and two schools.
Klein Aub used to be the place of a copper mine from 1964 to 1987, also gold and silver have been found in the area. In early 2010 one of the mining tunnels collapsed, leaving a 50m deep hole. [2]

Namibia, officially the Republic of Namibia, is a country in Southern Africa. Its western border is the Atlantic Ocean; it shares land borders with Zambia and Angola to the north, Botswana to the east and South Africa to the south and east. Although it does not border Zimbabwe, less than 200 metres of the Zambezi River separates the two countries. Namibia gained independence from South Africa on 21 March 1990, following the Namibian War of Independence. The town is known for its aragonite marble quarries and the Navachab Gold Mine.
Windhoek Rural is a constituency in the Khomas Region of Namibia. Its district capital is the settlement of Groot Aub. As of 2010 its population was 20,212. This constituency contains all settlements in the Khomas Region that are outside the city of Windhoek, among them:
Kolwezi or Kolwesi is the capital city of Lualaba Province in the south of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, west of Likasi. It is home to an airport and a railway to Lubumbashi. The population is approximately 453,000.
Usakos is a town on the banks of river Khan, 140 kilometres north-east of Swakopmund in the Erongo Region of Namibia. It is located on the B2, the main road between the Walvis Bay and Johannesburg. The town has 3,000 inhabitants and owns 58 square kilometres (22 sq mi) of land.

Elizabeth Bay is a mining town in southern coast of Namibia, 25 km south of Lüderitz. It was formerly considered a ghost town. Diamonds were first discovered in the region around 1908; however, it wasn't until 1989 that the government of Namibia spent $53 million on the exploration and creation of a new diamond mine on the site. The mine had a projected life-span of ten years and was expected to produce 2.5 million cts of diamonds. The mine was officially opened by Sam Nujoma on 2 August 1991 and stopped being operational sometime around 1998. By 2000, the town was considered a ghost town and tours were run through it by Kolmanskop.
Arandis, Namibia is a town in Erongo Region, Namibia. It has been called the Uranium Capital of the World as it is located just 15 km outside the world's largest open-pit uranium mine, the Rössing Uranium Mine. From Khoekhoegowab, 'the place where people cry'.
A presidential and parliamentary election was held on 27–28 November 2009 in Namibia. It was the fourth general election since independence and the fifth democratic election. Voting ended on 28 November and official election results, released on 4 December, showed that Hifikepunye Pohamba and his SWAPO Party were re-elected, each with over 75% of the vote. Prior to the election, the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) was widely expected to score a landslide victory, with the Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) considered SWAPO's biggest challenger. Fourteen political parties competed for seats in the National Assembly of Namibia, and twelve candidates ran for the Presidency.
Rosh Pinah is a mining town located in southern Namibia, close to the border with South Africa. It is situated 360 kilometres (220 mi) south of Keetmanshoop in Namibia's ǁKaras Region. West of the town lies Diamond Area 1, the main diamond mining area of Namibia. Rosh Pinah belongs to the Oranjemund electoral constituency. The town is connected via road to Aus and Oranjemund.
Schlip is a settlement of about 1,500 inhabitants in the Rehoboth Rural constituency in the Hardap Region of central Namibia. It is situated on the unpaved road D1290 c. 90 kilometres (56 mi) west of Rehoboth and has two primary schools and a junior secondary school. Schlip is the main settlement of the ǁOgain clan of the Nama people.
Mining is the biggest contributor to Namibia's economy in terms of revenue. It accounts for 25% of the country's income. Its contribution to the gross domestic product is also very important and makes it one of the largest economic sectors of the country. The majority of revenue comes from diamond mining.
Namibia, formerly known as South West Africa and German South West Africa, has a long history of postal services, starting in 1814 with postal runners delivering messages among mission stations. The first stamps were printed during the German colonial period. Currently NamPost is responsible for running postal services, managing 135 postal offices in the country.
Groot Aub is a settlement located approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) south of Windhoek, in the Hardap Region of Namibia. It was the district capital of the Windhoek Rural electoral constituency until September 2017, when it was incorporated into the capital.
Uranium mining in Namibia is of considerable importance to the national economy. In 2011, Namibia was ranked as the 4th largest producer of uranium worldwide, behind Kazakhstan, Canada, and Australia. When Uranium prices fell after the Fukushima incident production was reduced. In 2012, Namibia produced 7.1% of Uranium oxide worldwide, trailing behind Niger as well.
