Knut Axel Lennart Agnred (born 29 February 1956) [1] is a Swedish singer, actor, and comedian. He is known for being a member of Galenskaparna och After Shave. [2]

Life and career

Knut Agnred is the son of the athlete Lennart Andersson, who adopted the surname Agnred. He was educated in electrical engineering after studying at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. He has also worked in elderly care at Kålltorps sjukhem in Gothenburg. He has been a member of the comedy group After Shave since its inception in 1979. Agnred has written lyrics and music for several songs performed by Galenskaparna och After Shave.

Agnred has collaborated with Ken Wennerholm and Göran Rudbo in Triple & Touch and released a solo album called Text & music in 2004. In March 2009, the death metal band Despite released their debut album In Your Despite, which Knut Agnred contributed to on the opening track "Mindplague".

Galenskaparna och After Shave is the collaborative name of two Swedish comedy groups, Galenskaparna and After Shave, from Gothenburg. In 1982 the two groups joined in order to collaborate on the revue show Skruven är lös, and the collaboration has continued. Since the early 1980s, Galenskaparna och After Shave have produced nearly 28 revues, restaurant shows, and tours, as well as 8 movies, 5 television series and 30 studio albums.

"Mucho gusto" is an instrumental piece originally recorded by Percy Faith for the 1961 album Mucho Gusto! More Music of Mexico. The piece is, like the rest of the album, influenced by Mexican music. It has a high, galloping tempo and an advanced arrangement, where the melody is played by alternating strings, brass and percussion. The piece is known for its use of whistles and whips, as well as instruments that are typical of Mexican music, like guitars, maracas and trumpets.
