Kohler Interiors is the furniture, title and decorative products division of the Kohler Company. It includes six subsidiaries.
The Kohler Company acquired Ann Sacks in 1989 [1] from teacher and owner Ann Sacks. [2] [3] In 2011, Ann Sacks opened an international showroom in London. Since its start in 1980, Ann Sacks has been based in Portland, Oregon, where it creates handcrafted tile, stone, and luxury plumbing fixtures.
Founded by John and Elinor McGuire in 1948, McGuire Furniture was acquired in 1989 by the Kohler Company. [4] The company creates high-end designer furniture of bamboo, laced rawhide, and aluminum in San Francisco. [5] Baker[ clarification needed ] is sold at Marshall Field's [ needs update ] and Macy's, in addition to a flagship store in Chicago. [6]
In May 2008, the Kohler Company acquired Mark David, an upscale provider of upholstered seating to the hospitality industry. [7] [8] Mark David was founded by brothers Mark and David Norcross in 1990 as a privately held, family-owned company, and became a supplier of case goods and seating to hospitality properties throughout the United States. As of 2015, Kohler has ceased producing custom contract furniture and Mark David was no longer taking new orders. [9]
In 2017, Kohler agreed to sell the Baker, Milling Road and McGuire luxury furniture brands to Samson Investment Holding Company, based in High Point, North Carolina. Samson already owns and operates furniture manufacturing companies in the middle and upper price point segments of the home furnishings industry. [10]

Kohler Co., founded in 1873 by John Michael Kohler, is an American manufacturing company based in Kohler, Wisconsin. Kohler is best known for its plumbing products, but the company also manufactures furniture, cabinetry, tile, engines, and generators. Destination Kohler also owns various hospitality establishments in the United States and Scotland. In February 2017, Kohler Co. acquired UK-based Clarke Energy from the management team and ECI Partners, a multinational specialist in the engineering, construction, installation and maintenance of engine-based power plants and is an authorized distributor of GE's reciprocating engines in 19 countries worldwide.
Kohl's is an American department store retail chain, operated by Kohl's Corporation. As of December 2021 it is the largest department store chain in the United States, with 1,162 locations, operating stores in every U.S. state except Hawaii. The company was founded by Polish immigrant Maxwell Kohl, who opened a corner grocery store in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1927. It went on to become a successful chain in the local area, and in 1962 the company branched out by opening its first department store. British American Tobacco Company took a controlling interest in the company in 1972 while still managed by the Kohl Family, and in 1979, the corporation was sold to BATUS Inc. A group of investors purchased the company in 1986 from British American Tobacco and took it public in 1992.

Gimbel Brothers was an American department store corporation that operated for over a century, from 1842 until 1987. Gimbel patriarch Adam Gimbel opened his first store in Vincennes, Indiana, in 1842. In 1887, the company moved its operations to the Gimbel Brothers Department Store in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It became a chain when it opened a second, larger store in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1894, moving its headquarters there. At the urging of future company president Bernard Gimbel, grandson of the founder, the company expanded to New York City in 1910.

Roundy's Supermarkets is an American supermarket operator. It owns and operates stores under the names of Pick 'n Save, Metro Market, and Mariano's Fresh Market. The chain is a subsidiary of Kroger. Roundy's operates 145 supermarkets and 99 pharmacies throughout the states of Wisconsin and Illinois. Based on fiscal year 2012 sales, Roundy's was the 37th largest grocery store chain and the 89th largest retailer in the United States. As of December 2015, Roundy's became a subsidiary of Kroger of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Spring Hill Mall is a shopping mall in West Dundee and Carpentersville, Illinois. The mall's anchor stores are Kohl's and Cinemark. There are 4 vacant anchor stores that were once Carson Pirie Scott, Sears, Macy's, and Barnes & Noble.
Plaza Frontenac is an upscale, two-level, enclosed, regional shopping center in Frontenac, Missouri. Opened in 1974 and anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, it has high-end tenants, many of which are unique to the region. Since 2018, Plaza Frontenac has been owned by a joint venture between Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Brookfield Properties.
Regency Mall is an enclosed super-regional shopping mall in Racine, Wisconsin. The mall has a gross leasable area of 872,409 square feet (81,049.4 m2). It features 110 retail spaces, and one remaining anchor store, Dunham's Sports. There are 2 vacant anchor stores that were once Boston Store and Burlington. The fourth original anchor store structure, formerly JCPenney, has been subdivided into three in-line stores. Located at the junction of state highways 31 and 11, the building is surrounded by several freestanding stores and restaurants, including a Target department store.
Charlestowne Mall was a shopping mall located in St. Charles, Illinois, United States. It was the second mall to serve the city of St. Charles, after the St. Charles Mall. Built by Wilmorite Properties, Charlestowne Mall opened for business in April 1991. Its original anchor stores were Kohl's, JCPenney, Sears, and Carson's. Regal Cinemas added a movie theater in 1999 which was sold to Classic Cinemas two years later. JCPenney closed in 2000 and was converted in 2001 to Von Maur. The mall began experiencing a decline in tenancy in the 21st century due to its size, its location, and the opening of Geneva Commons in Geneva, Illinois in 2002. Although Wilmorite sold most of its shopping malls to Macerich in 2005, Charlestowne Mall was not included in the sale; the mall then changed ownership multiple times, with many of the following owners announcing plans to renovate it. None of these plans were executed, and many stores closed over time, including Sears in 2011 and Kohl's in 2016. The mall was entirely closed in 2017 except for the movie theater, Von Maur, and Carson's, which itself closed a year after the rest of the mall. The vacant mall is owned by Lormax Stern and S. R. Jacobson.
