Koło County is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Greater Poland Voivodeship, west-central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. It has been adapted into an anime television series. The anime has been licensed for North American release by Funimation. A sequel entitled Donten ni Warau Gaiden was released in 2014. Another titled Laughing in Limbo was released in 2014 which is set 300 years before Donten ni Warau. An anime theatrical film trilogy adaptation by Wit Studio was announced, with each part running for 60 minutes and the first part scheduled for release on December 2, 2017. A live-action film adaptation is scheduled for release on March 21, 2018.
