Korman Stadium is a sports stadium located in Port Vila, Vanuatu. It is the national stadium and the home of the Vanuatu national football team. The stadium's capacity is 6,500. Korman Stadium was named for one of Vanuatu's politicians, the head of the Vanuatu Republican Party, Maxime Carlot Korman. Amical FC were tenants of the stadium.

The sports complex that houses the stadium also includes the Vanuatu Cricket Ground. [1]

The Vanuatu Republican Party is a centrist political party in Vanuatu. At the last general elections, held on 22 January 2016, they won no seats and 1.75% of the vote. Maxime Carlot Korman is a Vanuatuan politician, formerly serving as the speaker of the Parliament and formerly as acting president. He served as the prime minister of Vanuatu for nearly five years, first from 16 December 1991 to 21 December 1995 and again from 23 February 1996 to 30 September 1996. He was a member of the Union of Moderate Parties during his terms as prime minister, but now leads the Vanuatu Republican Party. He was the first Speaker of Parliament after independence, from July 1980 to November 1983, and also served in that capacity just before independence.

The Melanesia Cup 1992 was the fourth Melanesia-wide tournament ever held. It took place in Vanuatu and four teams participated: Fiji, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia and Vanuatu.

The 2008 OFC Nations Cup was the eighth edition of the OFC Nations Cup and the first under a new format. It took place as a series of as a home-and-away round-robin tournament on FIFA match dates in 2007 and 2008. Doubling as the qualification tournament for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the tournament was substantially different from earlier editions: 2004 champions Australia did not compete after leaving the Oceania Football Confederation for the Asian Football Confederation and for the first time since the 1996 OFC Nations Cup, no fixed venue was used. Vanuatu Cricket, officially the Vanuatu Cricket Association, is the national governing body of the sport of cricket in Vanuatu. Its current headquarters is in Port Vila, Vanuatu. Vanuatu Cricket Association is Vanuatu's representative at the International Cricket Council and is an associate member and has been a member of that body since 2009. It is also a member of the East Asia-Pacific Cricket Council. The Senior Men's Team achieved Associate status with the ICC after winning the prestigious ICC EAP Cup in 2009 (undefeated).

A cricket tournament at the Pacific Games, previously the South Pacific Games, was introduced in 1979 and was played intermittently at games in the 1980s and 1990s, depending on the facilities of the host nation. Since 2003, cricket has featured at every Pacific Games. The tournament was a resurrection of the Melanesia Cup which has not been held since the year 2000. It was a FIFA Tier-1 tournament.

Vanuatu Cricket Ground is one of the main cricket grounds in Port Vila, in the Island nation of Vanuatu, in the South Pacific Ocean. It hosted the 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Qualifier tournament in September 2022. The 2022 Women's T20I Pacific Cup in October 2022 was the first women's T20I tournament held Vanuatu.
