The Korps Communicatie & Engagement Prinses Ariane (Corps of Communication & Engagement Princess Ariane) of the Royal Netherlands Army is a corps within the Arm of the Information Manoeuver, which was established as of 20 November 2020. It is named after Princess Ariane of the Netherlands. [1]

Organization

The unit specializes in civil-military interaction and communication in the broadest sense of the word. The deployment can be in mission areas but also in the Netherlands. The corps has a wide pool of military personnel, professionals and reservists, with various (civilian) specialisms. In addition, the force also has specialists in the field of psychological operations (PSYOP). The corps consists of personnel from the following units:

The Corps have embellishments such as the Governor General’s banner which they received in 2001. As well as specific uniform requirements up to and including their standout scarlet beret. The Military Police has a range of training pathways which leads to the many different specialised roles the members hold.

Marius van Zeijts

General Marius van Zeijts was born on May 29, 1958 in Gorssel, the Netherlands. In April 2017, Van Zeijts was elected Chairman of the KNZB. A year later, Van Zeijts became a member of the main board of the LEN, the Ligue Européenne de Natation - the European Swimming Federation, where he holds the position of Vice-President since november 2020. As Chairman of the KNZB, he is also a member of NOC*NSF. In his military career he achieved the rank of Brigadier General and held his last position until the end of 2017 with NATO in Aix-en-Provence, France.

The Korps Inlichtingen & Veiligheid Prinses Alexia is a corps within the Royal Netherlands Army that specializes in the gathering and processing of intelligence. The corps, together with the Korps Communicatie & Engagement Prinses Ariane, constitutes the Arm of Information Manoeuver and was established on 20 November 2020.
