Kortedala is a district, mainly residential (apartments), in the north-eastern part of Gothenburg in western Sweden. The area has a population of around 10,000 and is one of the typical 1950s suburbs of Gothenburg. The area has many trees and parks. Kortedala also has Gothenburg's largest ice-skating rink, Isdala, and a large sports centre, Alelyckan. There are four local squares, three smaller ones and the larger Kortedala Torg. Kortedala is on tram lines 6, 7 and 11, with line 6 terminating at Aprilgatan. As of 2023, no tram lines longer stop at Aprilgatan due to a shortage of tram drivers. [1]
In 2007, the Swedish musician Jens Lekman released an album titled Night Falls Over Kortedala . He also wrote a song called Tram #7 to Heaven about the tram to Bergsjön (where the streets are named after things to do with outer space), which passes through Kortedala.

Backa also known as Hisings Backa is a suburb in Gothenburg, and was one of Gothenburg’s 20 districts. On January 1, 2011 Backa merged with two other districts of Gothenburg, Kärra-Rödbo and Tuve-Säve, to form the district of Norra Hisingen. This change was part of a larger reorganisation, reducing the number of districts in Gothenburg from 20 to 10.
Bergsjön is a district in eastern Gothenburg, Sweden. On January 1, 2011, Bergsjön and Kortedala became the Eastern District of Gothenburg as part of a larger reorganization of the city of Gothenburg; the number of district councils was halved, to ten. Bergsjön, as part of Eastern District of Gothenburg, is divided into two smaller areas: Western and Eastern Bergsjön. In Eastern Bergsjön construction and development in the area began in 1965, and in Western Bergsjön development started in 1967.
Helsinki Railway Square is an open square immediately to the east of the Helsinki Central railway station in central Helsinki in Finland. The square serves as Helsinki's secondary bus station along with the main Kamppi Center bus station. The north side features the Finnish National Theatre, and the south side is formed of the Ateneum classical art museum. To the west side are the two ornate entrances to Helsinki Central station—a bigger one for public use, and a smaller one exclusively for the President of Finland and their official guests. The square is served by the Helsinki Metro system with Rautatientori metro station entrances at the south-west corner, and University of Helsinki metro station to the east.
Angered is a borough of Gothenburg Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. Angered is the biggest Million Programme area in Gothenburg, and one of the biggest in the country, with 60,000 inhabitants.
The Gothenburg tramway network is part of the public transport system organised by Göteborgs Spårvägar, controlled by Västtrafik in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. The system's approximately 160 kilometres (100 mi) of single track — making it the largest tram network in Northern Europe — is used by around 200 trams as of 2006, which serve twelve day-time and five night-time lines with a combined line length of 190 km. These figures are expected to increase when the second stage of Kringen is finished. The trams perform about 2,000 trips and cover 30,000 km per day. In 2018, 131 million journeys were made.
Tynnered is one of 21 boroughs in the city of Gothenburg, Sweden. It is located in the western part of the city, about 8-10 kilometres from the inner city, and it has a population of 27,787 (2010) on 29.85 square kilometres (11.53 mi2). Alike several other boroughs of the city, Tynnered has a fairly high percentage of immigrants. On January 1, 2011, Tynnered became part of the district (stadsdelsnämnd) Western Gothenburg. In 2021 the stadsdelsnämd districts were replaced by larger stadsområde districts and Tynnered became part of South-West Gothenburg.
Örgryte is one of the 21 stadsdelsnämndsområden of Gothenburg Municipality, Sweden. It is a largely upper middle class residential area, just to the east of the city centre. It has a population of 33,539 (2004), and covers an area of 10.67 square kilometres.
Härlanda is one of the 21 stadsdelsnämndsområden of Gothenburg Municipality in Sweden, situated to the east of the city centre. To the east of Härlanda lies Partille Municipality, and to the south Härryda Municipality. In Gothenburg Municipality it borders Örgryte to the west and Kortedala to the north, across the stream Säveån.
Gothenburg Municipality, Sweden is subdivided into 10 stadsdelsnämndsområden. The term is often translated to borough. But they are really not boroughs, as they are not legal entities or juristic persons of their own, but organs of the central municipal administration. The members of the committees are appointed by the kommunfullmäktige and not by the electorates of the respective "boroughs". They therefore represent the political majority of the municipality as a whole.

Gustaf Adolfs torg is a town square located in central Gothenburg, Sweden. It was named Stortorget until 1854 when a statue of the founding father of Gothenburg, king Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden was raised. Surrounding the square are the city hall, including the law court extension, the bourse, and the main harbour canal of Gothenburg.
Högsbo is a city district of Gothenburg located on the Swedish west coast. Högsbo is situated southwest of the city centre of Gothenburg.
Frölunda Torg is a shopping centre in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is one of the largest shopping centres in Scandinavia, with approximately 200 shops and more than 10 million visitors in 2009. The shopping centre's total area is about 75,000 square metres. The companies housed in Frölunda Torg employ in total 1,500 people and their total annual turnover is in excess of 1.6 billion kronor.
Lilla Bommen is a part of Gothenburg harbor used for visiting boats and also the name given to the land surrounding the harbor. The eponymous building along with The Göteborg Opera house and the barque Viking are all located at Lilla Bommen.
Töölöntori is an urban square and marketplace in the Töölö district of central Helsinki, Finland. It is bounded in the west by Runeberginkatu and the southern end of Topeliuksenkatu, in the north by Tykistönkatu; Töölöntorinkatu forms its eastern limit, and Sandelsinkatu its southern.
Gustav Adolfs torg is a public square located in Malmö, Sweden. It is a large park-like square located in central Malmö between Stortorget and Triangeln. West of the square is the Old Cemetery where many prominent Malmö residents have their graves.
