The Krah Group is a German medium-sized, family-run company producing electronic components. [1] Started in Drolshagen, Germany, in 1970 with 20 employees, the company grew to become the world market leader for resistors in the automotive industry with currently 2,000 employees in 16 sites across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

The German Krah GmbH does production and installation of pipe production plants for plastic pipe in diameters up to 4000 mm. Currently, it is headquartered in Schutzbach, Germany.

History

The family-owned company has a 40-year history rooted in a small engineering company specializing in the design of small machines and tools, founded by Karl-Heinz Krah in 1968 in Westerwald. [2] Over time, the company has developed from a small workshop and "one man show" to a worldwide manufacturer of specialized machines in pipe production plants for big diameters of non pressure plastic pipes, as well as plastic pressure pipes. The company is still family-managed, currently by Alexander Krah, the youngest son of Karl-Heinz Krah. The company has production facilities in Spain, Croatia, Germany, Argentina, USA, Kuwait, Oman and Mexico. [3] In 2007 an Arab investor injected money in cash for a 50% share in the company. [4] The remaining shares are held equally by Karl-Heinz Krah and Alexander Krah. [5]

In 2008 the Krah pipe manufacturer (Krah Pipe Systems) in Greenwood/USA set up the world's first plant for large diameter helical extrusion pipes, ranging up to 120 inches (3,048 mm) for municipal water. [6]

Dillinger Hütte is a steel producer in Dillingen, in the German Federal State of Saarland, and has a history stretching back more than three hundred years. The plant was founded in 1685, and was Germany's first Aktiengesellschaft, or joint stock company (1809). The first continuous-caster for slabs in the world was commissioned in Dillingen in 1962. A further machine, permitting casting of slabs of up to 400 mm in thickness - the thickest produced anywhere in the world at that time - was added, along with other new facilities, in 1998. In 2010, Dillinger Hütte successfully produced the first 450 mm thick slab - another world record. Georg Fischer comprises four divisions GF Piping Systems, GF Uponor, GF Casting Solutions, and GF Machining Solutions. Founded in 1802, the corporation is headquartered in Switzerland and is present in 45 countries, with 187 companies, 76 of them production facilities. Its over 19 800 employees generated sales of over CHF 4 billion in 2018. GF offers pipes for the safe transport of liquids and gases, lightweight casting components in vehicles, and high-precision manufacturing technologies.

The ebm-papst Group is a manufacturer of electric motors and fans. It came into existence in 2003 when the companies Elektrobau Mulfingen GmbH & Co. KG (ebm), Papst Motoren GmbH in St. Georgen and Motoren Ventilatoren Landshut GmbH (mvl) merged. The company employs around 13,000 employees at 25 production facilities and 49 sales offices worldwide. The headquarters is located in Mulfingen in the Hohenlohe district of Germany.

AGRU manufactures and supplies pipeline systems, semi-finished products, concrete protection liners, and geomembranes made of engineered plastics. As one of the 130 largest industrial companies in Austria, and one of Upper Austrias' TOP 50 biggest Companies, AGRU employs 1020 staff and has global sales of EUR 375 million (2017). In addition to the five factories at the global headquarters in Bad Hall, the company operates production sites in the United States, Germany, Poland and China. The export share is over 90%. Sales partners in more than 150 countries distribute products from AGRU, for which approximately 100,000 tons of plastic are processed annually.
