Kristen Onsgard is a semi-professional Bridge player, editor [1] and a North American bridge champion from Dallas, Texas. Kristen has won one North American Bridge Championship and finished second in another event. Kristen has also made the finals of the World Mixed Pairs. [2]

Personal life

Kristen was born in 1988 and is the daughter of Henry and Laura Onsgard from Dallas, TX. Kristen learned bridge from her father, but never got to play competitive bridge with him. Her mother is also a competitive bridge player. [6]

Kristen has a B.S. in Marine Biology from Stony Brook University and an M.S. from Texas A&M.

Kristen is on the board of the ABTA (American Bridge Teachers’ Association). Kristen is a certified ABTA Master Teacher, [7] ACBL accredited instructor, certified ACBL on-line instructor and ACBL club director.

The David Bruce LM–5000 Pairs bridge event is held at the Summer American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) North American Bridge Championship. Gail Harte Greenberg is a professional American bridge player from New York City. She has won major tournaments as Gail Shane, Gail Moss, and Gail Moss Greenberg. Sometime prior to the 2014 European and World meets, she was one of 73 Women World Grand Masters, ranked about 40th by placing points that do not decay over time. She married successively Steve Shane, Mike Moss and Jack Greenberg, and is the mother of Jill Levin and Brad Moss, all five being successful bridge players.

The ACBL's Board of Directors named Patty the ”2016 Honorary Member of the Year" for her efforts in sustaining the game of bridge for future generations.
