Kubai Iringo

Kubai Cyprian Iringo is a Kenyan politician and diplomat currently serving as Kenyan ambassador to Somalia. He was a member of the 11th parliament of Kennya elected from Igembe Central Constituency on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and with the support of CORD Coalition. [1] He served on the house committee on Finance, Planning and Trade and spoke 462 times on the floor of the house during the 11th parliament. In December 2013, his party, ODM threatened to expel him and a fellow MP Mpuru Aburi from the party for expressing willingness to work with Jubilee Coalition government.  He was appointed Kenyan ambassador to Somalia in October 2023. [2] Iringo is a recipient of Shujaa Parliamentarian Award for “Championing Wananchi in matters of health” (2015)  given by Mzalendo Trust. [3]

He graduated from Kenya Methodist University in 2016. [4]

General elections were held in Kenya on 27 December 2007. Voters elected the President, and members of the National Assembly. They coincided with the 2007 Kenyan local elections.

The 10th Parliament of Kenya saw the National Assembly opened on 15 January 2008. This following the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) of Raila Odinga winning a majority in the 2007 parliamentary elections. Raila was a candidate in the presidential elections, which resulted in a controversial victory for Mwai Kibaki of the Party of National Unity. The opening of the parliament was fraught with jeers, cheers and brawls between the opposing parties; Mwai Kibaki was greeted by the ODM members with silence and boos, while Raila was greeted by PNU members with accusations of genocide.

Yvonne Khamati, is a Kenyan politician that was nominated to the East African Legislative Assembly as Member of Parliament by Ford Kenya Party aged 21 and a diplomat who was appointed by President Mwai Kibaki to serve as Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative to Ethiopia and African Union at 24. She has served in the past, as the Chair of the Committee of Permanent Representatives and Rapporteur of the African Diplomatic Corp, in the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has worked in various missions. As of November 2018, she served as the deputy ambassador of Kenya at the Kenyan Embassy in Mogadishu, the capital city of Somalia. She is currently the C.E.O of the Kenya National Heroes Council, a parastatal under the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Heritage

John Paul Mwirigi, is the Member of Parliament for Igembe South Constituency, Meru County, in the Kenya National Assembly. He was elected in August 2017 at the age of 23 years, the youngest ever Kenyan member of parliament. He was re-elected on 9 August 2022 as Igembe South Constituency MP with a total of 34, 561 votes. His closest opponent garnered 10,000 votes.

William Kamoti was a Kenyan lawyer and politician who was a member of the 11th and 12th parliament elected from Rabai Constituency in Kilifi County on the ticket of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) in 2013. Abdullahi Jaldesa Banticha is a Kenyan politician and a member of the 11th Kenyan parliament elected from Isiolo South Constituency on the ticket of United Republican Party and with the support of Jubilee Coalition in 2013. He succeeded Abdul Ali of the Kenya African National Union (KANU) party. Banticha served on the house committee on Energy, Communication and Information. According to a report by Mzaledo Trust in 2016, Banticha spoke twice throughout the 11th parliament. He earned his bachelor's degree in education from Maseno University.
