Ghana, officially the Republic of Ghana, is a country in West Africa. It abuts the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean to the south, sharing borders with Ivory Coast in the west, Burkina Faso in the north, and Togo in the east. Ghana covers an area of 238,535 km2 (92,099 sq mi), spanning diverse biomes that range from coastal savannas to tropical rainforests. With nearly 31 million inhabitants, Ghana is the second-most populous country in West Africa, after Nigeria. The capital and largest city is Accra; other major cities are Kumasi, Tamale, and Sekondi-Takoradi.
Tamale, officially called Tamale Metropolitan Area is the capital city of the Northern Region of Ghana. Tamale is Ghana's third largest city. It has a projected population of 950,124 according to the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly Official Website. It is the fastest-growing city in West Africa. It is located 600 km (370 mi) north of Accra. Most residents of Tamale are Muslims and Dagombas by tribe, as reflected by the multitude of mosques in Tamale, most notably the Central Mosque, Afa Ajura Mosque, Afa Basha mosque and The Ahmadiyyah Muslim mission Mosque.
The Ghana national football team represents Ghana in men's international football, doing it since 1957. The team consists of twenty players including the technical team. The team is nicknamed the Black Stars after the Black Star of Africa in the flag of Ghana. It is governed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) the governing body for football in Ghana and the oldest football association in Africa. Prior to 1957, the team played as the Gold Coast. The team is a member of both FIFA and CAF.
Tamale Metropolitan District is one of the sixteen districts in Northern Region, Ghana. Originally created as a municipal district assembly in 1988 when it was known as Tamale Municipal District, which was created from the former West Dagomba District Council, until it was elevated to metropolitan district assembly status in August 2004. Later, a small northern part of the district was split off to create Sagnarigu District on 24 June 2012 ; thus the remaining part has been retained as Tamale Metropolitan District. The metropolis is located in the northwest part of Northern Region and has Ghana as its capital city. The metro poly is the central business hub of the region.
Jisonaayili is a community in Sagnarigu District in the Northern Region of Ghana. It is a linear settlement concentrated along the Jisonayili Road that divides the community into two halves. Its immediate neighbors are Kanvili, Gurugu, Chogu-Yapalsi and Kamina Barracks. The community is served with a public library located in the Jisonaayili Community Center.
Alhassan Bashir Fuseini popularly known as Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini is a journalist and Ghanaian politician and the former deputy Northern Regional Minister of Ghana. He is a member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing the Sagnarigu in the Northern Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress.
Yilonaayili is a community in Tamale Metropolitan District in the Northern Region of Ghana. It is located along the Tamale-Bolgatanga trunk road. The community has nucleated settlement. The people there are predominantly farmers.

Yong-duuni is a community in Sagnarigu District in the Northern Region of Ghana. It is a less populated community. The inhabitants of the community are predominantly farmers and the women are also into Shea butter production. It has a settlement population of two thousand(2000),2020.

Sagnarigu Municipal District is one of the sixteen districts in Northern Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Tamale Municipal District in 1988, which was created from the former West Dagomba District Council, until a small northern part of the district was split off to create Sagnarigu District on 24 June 2012; thus the remaining part has been retained as Tamale Metropolitan District. However, on 15 March 2018, it was elevated to municipal district assembly status to become Sagnarigu Municipal District. Habib Iddrisu is a Ghanaian politician who is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He is the member of parliament elect for the Tolon Constituency in the Northern Region of Ghana.
