Kuna Srisailam Goud (born 17 June 1966) is an Indian politician from INC (Indian National Congress). He joined BJP in 2021. He was the Congress Party Telangana PCC TPCC leader from 2009 to 2021. He was a member of Legislative Assembly from Quthbullapur Constituency as an Independent candidate and joined Congress INC in 2009.
Srisailam Goud is born to Kuna Krishna Goud and Kuna Mahalaxmi Goud in Gajula Ramaram village in the Quthbullapur Constituency of Medchal-Malkajgiri District,Telangana. [1]
In 2009 he joined Indian National Congress party under the leadership of late YS Rajashekar Reddy. Earlier he was in active politics in the Youth Congress from 1992. He was elected as the MLA of Quthbullapur in 2009 as an independent in the undivided Andhra Pradesh assembly elections. [2] He worked as Medchal District Congress Committee president before joining the BJP in 2021. [1] [3]
In 2023 Telangana Assembly Elections he lost the Quthbullapur seat to BRS candidate K. P. Vivekanand by 85,576 votes. [4] [5] Earlier,in October 2023,he was allegedly attacked by BRS KP Vivekanand during a news TV debate. [2] [6]
Kuna Srisailam Goud quit BJP and Joined Congress Party in the presence of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Telangana in-charge Deepa Dasmunsi and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on 05 April 2024 ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha elections. [7]
Quthbullapur is a Town in Hyderabad in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district of the Indian state of Telangana. It is the mandal headquarters of Quthbullapur mandal in Malkajgiri revenue division. The mandal was a part of Ranga Reddy district before the re-organisation of districts in the state. It was a municipality prior to its merger into the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
