Kuralarasan is an Indian actor and composer who works in Tamil-language films. He has collaborated with his father, T. Rajendar, and his elder brother, Silambarasan, in all his films to date.
Kuralarasan is the younger son of T. Rajendar and Usha, and younger brother of Silambarasan.
In February 2019, Kuralarasan's video of shahada (proclamation of faith) embracing Islam with the presence of his parents in a Masjid in Annasalai, Chennai had become viral. [1] [2] [3] Rajender in the press interview stated that Kuralarasan since young years had been passionate about Islam and completely embraced Islam through that proclamation event. [4] Kuralarasan stated that out of his own will being attracted to the principles of Islam had embraced it. [5] He married Nabeela in 2019, and the two have a son born in 2024. [6]
He began his career as a child artist with Pettredutha Pillai (1993) and garnered acclaim for his role in Sonnal Thaan Kaadhala (2001). [7] He made his debut as a music composer with his father's production Idhu Namma Aalu (2016) starring his brother, Silambarasan. Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendar, popularly known as Simbu or by his initials as STR, is an Indian actor and playback singer who primarily works in Tamil cinema. He is the eldest son of director T. Rajendar. He began his acting career by playing roles as a child artist in films directed by his father, before his first lead role in his father's Kadhal Azhivathillai (2002). He is a recipient of two Edison Awards and three SIIMA Awards.
Vallavan, alternatively spelled as Valaavaan, is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language romance film written and directed by Silambarasan, starring himself in the lead role alongside Nayanthara and Reema Sen whilst Sandhya, Santhanam, Premji and Sathyan play supporting roles. The dialogues are written by Balakumaran, and the film was produced by P. L. Thenappan. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Rajendar who also composed the music and portrayed a supporting role as a philosopher, Kaadhaldasan. It stars Ramankanth and Mumtaj in the lead love roles. T. Rajendar's sons, Silambarasan and Kuralarasan, appear in the opening song of the film, "Monisha", sung by the former.
