Kuralarasan is an Indian actor and composer who works in Tamil-language films. He has collaborated with his father, T. Rajendar, and his elder brother, Silambarasan, in all his films to date.
Kuralarasan is the younger son of T. Rajendar and Usha, and younger brother of Silambarasan.
In February 2019, Kuralarasan's video of shahada (proclamation of faith) embracing Islam with the presence of his parents in a Masjid in Annasalai, Chennai had become viral. [1] [2] [3] Rajender in the press interview stated that Kuralarasan since young years had been passionate about Islam and completely embraced Islam through that proclamation event. [4] Kuralarasan stated that out of his own will being attracted to the principles of Islam had embraced it. [5] He married Nabeela in 2019, and the two have a son born in 2024. [6]
He began his career as a child artist with Pettredutha Pillai (1993) and garnered acclaim for his role in Sonnal Thaan Kaadhala (2001). [7] He made his debut as a music composer with his father's production Idhu Namma Aalu (2016) starring his brother, Silambarasan. He wrote the lyrics for all the songs in addition to rendering his voice for the song "King Kong". Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendar, popularly known as Simbu or by his initials as STR, is an Indian actor and playback singer who primarily works in Tamil cinema. He is the eldest son of director T. Rajendar. He began his acting career by playing roles as a child artist in films directed by his father, before his first lead role in his father's Kadhal Azhivathillai (2002). He is a recipient of two Edison Awards and three SIIMA Awards.
Vallavan is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language romance film written and directed by Silambarasan, starring himself alongside Nayanthara and Reema Sen as lead heroines whilst Sandhya, Santhanam, Premji, and Sathyan play supporting roles. The dialogues are written by Balakumaran, and the film was produced by P. L. Thenappan. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Kadhal Azhivathillai is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language romantic action film written, directed and produced by T. Rajendar, who also composed the music and portrayed a supporting role as Vakkeel Dada. It stars his son Silambarasan and Charmy Kaur. The film released on 4 November 2002 and was average at the box office.

Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language musical romantic drama film written and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, starring Silambarasan and Trisha. Jointly produced by Elred Kumar, Jayaraman, VTV Ganesh and P. Madan under the banner Escape Artists Motion Pictures and RS Infotainment, the film was distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. The story was simultaneously shot in Telugu as Ye Maaya Chesave, starring Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, however, with a different cast.
Oru Thayin Sabhatham is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language legal drama film written, directed, scored and produced by T. Rajendar. He himself appeared in the lead role with Srividya, whilst the film featured an extensive cast, which includes Rajendar's son Silambarasan. It is a remake of the 1985 Hindi film Meri Jung. The film was released on 14 April 1987.

Monisha En Monalisa is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language romance film written, directed and produced by T. Rajendar who also composed the music and portrayed a supporting role as a philosopher, Kaadhaldasan. The actors Ramankanth and Mumtaj made their debuts in this film. T. Rajendar's sons, Silambarasan and Kuralarasan, appear in the opening song of the film, "Monisha", sung by the former.

This film released on 27 May 2016 was highly anticipated from audience and opened with mixed reviews but became an above average success at the box office. The film was partially reshot in Telugu as Sarasudu (2017) with Soori and Satyam Rajesh swapping roles.

The film stars Silambarasan in the lead role, alongside Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Santhosh Prathap, Kalaiyarasan, Anu Sithara and Teejay Arunasalam. It is a remake of the 2017 Kannada-language film Mufti. The film follows AG Ravanan "AGR", a crime boss, who gets tracked down by Guna, an undercover cop as Sakthivel.
