Kurt Oatway (born 23 February 1984) [1] is a sit-skier representing Canada at the 2018 Winter Paralympics. His disability is due to an injury in 2007. [2] He won gold at the 2018 Winter Paralympics in men's sitting Super G at the Pyeongchang Olympics. [3] He also won silver medals at the 2019 World Para Alpine Skiing Championships in both the Downhill and Super-G events.[ citation needed ]

He has an interest in geology. [4]

The sledge hockey team goes to South Korea after qualifying at a tournament in Sweden. They had financial difficulties before the Winter Paralympics because of corruption in sports funding. This made it more difficult to train and compete for the 2018 Games.

He made his Paralympic debut at the age of 18 for Ukraine at the 2018 Winter Paralympics competing in Cross-country skiing and Biathlon events. He also went onto claim his first Paralympic medal during the 2018 Winter Paralympics after clinching the gold medal in the men's 12.5km sitting biathlon event.

Alana Ramsay is a Canadian paralympic alpine skier, born in Calgary, Alberta. Ramsay, who was born with cerebral palsy due to a stroke at birth, started skiing at age 6. On the Para-Alpine World Cup circuit in 2015/16, she landed her first podium. In both 2016 and 2017, Ramsay was named Canadian Ski Racing Female Para Alpine Athlete of the Year. Ramsay has competed in 3 Paralympic games thus far, she won bronze medals at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Paralympics in both the Super G and Super Combined events. In the 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympics, Ramsay won two more bronze medals, in the Super Combined Standing and Super-G Standing events.

Miroslav Haraus is a Slovak Paralympic skier. He first medaled in 2010, but won his first gold at the 2018 Winter Paralympics.

Emily Young, also known as Emily Weekes, is a Canadian female Paralympic cross-country skier and biathlete. She has competed formerly as a wrestler and triathlete for Canada in international and national competitions.

Alexis Guimond is an American-born Canadian male Paralympic alpine skier. He made his first Paralympic appearance during the 2018 Winter Paralympics and competed in alpine skiing events. He claimed his only Paralympic medal, a bronze medal, in the men's giant slalom standing event at the 2018 Winter Paralympics.

Collin Cameron is a Canadian sitskier who won three bronze medals at the 2018 Winter Paralympics. and two silver and a gold medal at the 2019 Para Nordic World Championships in Prince George, BC, CAN. He also participated at the 2022 Winter Paralympics, winning two bronze medals in the 18 kilometre long-distance event, and the 1.5 kilometre sprint event.
