Kutchi is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in the Kutch region of India and also in the Sindh region of Pakistan. The name of the language is also transliterated as Kutchhi, Kachchi, Kachchhi, Kachhi or Cutchi.

Memoni language is the language of Memon people historically associated with Kathiawar. Memon people is a subgroup or an ethnic group that originated in North Western India. After the Indian partition in 1947, Memon people of the Kathiawar region in modern Guajarat state, India migrated to neighboring states, cities and towns within India, but large number of Memons settled in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Malawi, Kenya and even United States and Canada since the independence in 1947.

Tiger Memon

Ibrahim Mushtaq Abdul Razzaq Memon, better known by the nickname Tiger Memon, is an alleged Indian terrorist, reckoned to be one of the primary master-minds behind the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case. He is wanted by Interpol and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He is a member of D-Company, a gang led by Dawood Ibrahim. He got the nickname Tiger after helping a petty drugs and weapons smuggler to evade the crime branch of Mumbai Police by driving his car recklessly over 100 km/h on one-way roads.

The ancestors of present-day Memons who settled a few centuries ago in various parts of Gujarat State in India, This region of India was known as Kathiawar. Currently this region is known as Saurashtra.

The Kutchi people traditionally hail from the Kutch district of the western Indian state of Gujarat.

Yakub Abdul Razzaq Memon was an Indian terrorist who was convicted over his involvement in the 1993 Bombay bombings by Special Terrorist and Disruptive Activities court on 27 July 2007. Yakub Memon was the brother of one of the prime suspects in the bombings, Tiger Memon. His appeals and petitions for clemency were all rejected and he was executed by hanging on 30 July 2015 in Nagpur jail.

It is derived from the Kutchi language of the Kutch district in Gujarat.

Ismail Yusuf c. 1870 - 1915, was an early 20th century Indian businessman and the proprietor of Bombay Steam Navigation Company. The Yusuf family own vast amounts of land in Mumbai and in the vicinity as is one of the ten largest private landowners in Mumbai.
