Since 1959, he has taught at the University of Tartu and the Estonian University of Life Sciences; since 1997 Emeritus Professor. [1]

The genus is monotypic, containing the single species Tricholomella constricta, described as new to science by Ukrainian mycologist Mariya Yakovlevna Zerova in 1979.
