Kuwait Hockey League

The Kuwait Hockey League is the national ice hockey league in Kuwait and the 68th member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. [1] Four teams participated in the 2008-2009 season, and the top two teams met in the final, won by Kuwait.

Ice Hockey World Championships Recurring international ice hockey tournament for mens national teams

The Ice Hockey World Championships are an annual international men's ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). First officially held at the 1920 Summer Olympics, it is the sport's highest profile annual international tournament. The IIHF was created in 1908 while the European Championships, the precursor to the World Championships, were first held in 1910. The tournament held at the 1920 Summer Olympics is recognized as the first Ice Hockey World Championship. From 1920 to 1968, the Olympic hockey tournament was also considered the World Championship for that year.

Russia mens national ice hockey team

The Russian men's national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Russia, overseen by the Ice Hockey Federation of Russia. As of 2021, they are rated third in the IIHF World Ranking. The team has been competing internationally since 1992 and is recognized by the IIHF as the successor to the Soviet Union team and CIS team. The Russian team is one of the most successful national ice hockey teams in the world and a member of the so-called "Big Six," the unofficial group of the six strongest men's ice hockey nations, along with Canada, the Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden and the United States. The European nations of the Big Six participate in the Euro Hockey Tour, which Russia won nine times since 2005. Since September 2021, the head coach is Alexei Zhamnov, taking over after Valeri Bragin. Bragin and another former national team coach Oleg Znarok became his consultants.

United Arab Emirates mens national ice hockey team

The UAE national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of the United Arab Emirates. It is operated under the UAE Ice Sports Federation and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). As of 26 May 2019, the UAE is currently ranked 48th in the IIHF World Ranking and competes in Division III Group A tournament of the World Championships.

Thailand mens national ice hockey team

The Thailand national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Thailand. The team is controlled by the Ice Hockey Association of Thailand and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. Thailand is currently ranked at fifty-first in the IIHF World Rankings and have been entered in the World Championship tournaments since 2019 but have not yet participated at any Olympic Games. They have played in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia.

The Arab Cup of Ice Hockey was intended to be an annual international ice hockey competition involving teams from Arab nations. The inaugural tournament took place from 16 to 20 June 2008 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. A 2009 competition was planned to be held in Kuwait City, Kuwait but was cancelled.

The Ice Hockey Federation of Kuwait is the governing body of ice hockey in Kuwait. Kuwait had first joined the International Ice Hockey Federation in 1985, but was expelled on May 6, 1992 due to a lack of ice hockey activity. Kuwait was re-admitted into the IIHF on May 8, 2009.

2011 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia

The 2011 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia was the 4th IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia, an annual international ice hockey tournament held by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). It took place between April 25 and April 30, 2011 in Kuwait City, Kuwait. Last years winner, Chinese Taipei did not field a team to defend their title. The tournament was won by Hong Kong, who claimed their first title after winning all five of their games.

The Indian Ice Hockey Championship is the national ice hockey championship in India.

The Qatar International Ice Hockey League is the ice hockey league in Qatar. It was first contested in 2003.

The Brazilian Championship was the national ice hockey championship in Brazil. It was first contested in 2008 and was held annually through 2010. The competition has not been arranged since then.

The Philippine national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of the Philippines. The team is controlled by the Federation of Ice Hockey League (FIHL) and has been associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The Philippines is currently not ranked in the IIHF World Ranking and have never entered in any World Championship tournaments or at any Olympic Games, but have played in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia.

Ice hockey in the Philippines is a minor but emerging sport.

Kuwait womens national ice hockey team

The Kuwait women's national ice hockey team is the ice hockey team representing Kuwait internationally in women's competition. The team is overseen by the Kuwait Ice Hockey Association, a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The team was formed in 2017 and currently competes in the IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia Division I tournament.
