Kvinnliga IK Sport is a sports club in Gothenburg, Sweden, which just as the name says only runs women's activity. Since the late 1970s, men are however allowed to be board members. [1] While nowadays only running handball activity, winning 14 Swedish national indoor championship titles between 1951 and 1972 (1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1964, 1969, 1971 and 1972), [2] it earlier even ran cycling, gymnastics, track and field athletics, speedskating and orienteering.

Västerås BK30 is a sports club in Västerås, Sweden, established on 29 November 1929 as a merger of IK City and IK Sture and named after 1930, the year it joined the Swedish Sports Confederation. The 1937–38 Svenska mästerskapet was the seventh season of Svenska mästerskapet, a tournament held to determine the Swedish Champions of men's handball. Teams qualified by winning their respective District Championships. 19 teams competed in the tournament. SoIK Hellas were the defending champions, but failed to qualify after losing the District Championship final of Stockholm to Djurgårdens IF. Västerås IK won the title, defeating Djurgårdens IF in the final. Västerås IK became the first team from outside Allsvenskan to win the Swedish Championship since the start of league handball in Sweden. The final was played on 10 April in Skeppsholmshallen in Stockholm, and was watched by 1,450 spectators. The final was the first handball match in Sweden to be broadcast on radio.

The 1971–72 Allsvenskan was the 38th season of the top division of Swedish handball. 10 teams competed in the league. SoIK Hellas won the regular season and also won the playoffs to claim their sixth Swedish title. Vikingarnas IF and Ystads IF were relegated.

The 1972–73 Allsvenskan was the 39th season of the top division of Swedish handball. 10 teams competed in the league. IF Saab won the regular season and also won the playoffs to claim their second Swedish title. IF Guif and IFK Lidingö were relegated.

Västerås IK Handboll was the handball section of Västerås IK, a Swedish sport club based in Västerås. The club made their first appearance in Svenska mästerskapet (SM), a tournament held to determine the Swedish champions, in 1932–33. They were eliminated by Strängnäs in the first round. In 1935–36 they reached the quarterfinals, where they were defeated by SoIK Hellas. In the following season they reached the quarterfinals again, this time losing against Redbergslids IK. In 1937–38, Västerås IK made history by becoming the first team playing outside the top division (Allsvenskan) to win SM. They upset Flottans IF Karlskrona in the semifinal before defeating Djurgårdens IF in the final. The following season, their title defence ended abruptly as they failed to defend their Västmanland district title and thus failed to qualify for SM. In 1940–41 Västerås IK reached the semifinals, where they were eliminated by IFK Kristianstad. In the same season, they were promoted to Allsvenskan for the first time. They finished third in their first season in the top-flight, which remains their best league finish. They reached the quarterfinals in SM, but lost against Stockholms-Flottans IF. The club was relegated in 1943 but returned to the top division two years later. In 1947–48, Västerås IK reached the SM semifinals, but were again defeated by IFK Kristianstad. They were relegated from Allsvenskan in 1950–51, but still reached the semifinals in SM in the same season, losing to AIK. They played in the final season of SM in 1951–52, but were eliminated by Norrköpings AIS in the first round. After that season, the SM tournament was discontinued and the title of Swedish Champions was awarded to the league winners. Västerås IK were promoted back to Allsvenskan in 1955, but were relegated after only one season and never returned to the top division. Västerås IK's handball section does no longer exist.
