Kyaw Khin is a Burmese politician and the first chairman of the Federation of Rangoon University Students' Union. [1] [2]
He was born in Thandwe,Rakhine State. He attended Central Government High School in Rangoonand passed University Entrance Exam in 1925. He continued his education at Yangon University.
In 1929,Thahtay U Nyo donated the construction of the union building,which was completed in 1930. Although there is a union building,there is no union organization. Students,including Kyaw Khin,tried to form a Federation of Student Unions. He is the leader of that effort. To prevent the formation of a union;He was threatened. He was also lured into the position of ICC,the Indian contract staff,the "incentive" of university students. However,He was unyielding and was a staunch supporter of the Student Union. Senior students at Rangoon University were the first to discuss the formation of a Federation of Student Unions. Kyaw Khin chaired the meeting and then formed a Federation of Student Unions drafting committee. He chaired its drafting committee.1931,which ratified the Federation of Student Unions constitution;From the student meeting held on 9 January,when nine executive members were elected,Kyaw Khin became the chairman of the Federation of Rangoon University Students' Union. He passed law courses in 1931. He worked as a lawyer in his hometown of Thandwe and as a member of the municipality. And,he also served as chairman of the municipality on civil affairs. In 1951,after the World War II,he was elected to the Pyithu Hluttaw from the Yanaung constituency. He led a Burmese delegation to the World Parliamentary Conference in Bern,Switzerland.
Sayagyi U Ba Khin was the first Accountant General of the Union of Burma. He was the founder of the International Meditation Centre in Yangon,Myanmar and is principally known as a leading twentieth century authority on Vipassana meditation.

Zawgyi was a distinguished and leading Burmese poet,author,literary historian,critic,scholar and academic. His name,Zawgyi,refers to a mythical wizard from Burmese mythology. He was one of the leaders of the Hkit san movement in Burmese literature searching for a new style and content before the Second World War,along with Theippan Maung Wa,Nwe Soe and Min Thu Wun. His first hkit san poetry,Padauk pan,was published in Hantha Kyemon pamphlet.
Thakin Kodaw Hmaing is considered one of the greatest Burmese poets,writers and political leaders in the 20th century history of Burma. He is regarded as the Father of Burmese nationalist and peace movements as well as a literary genius. Basic Education High School No. 2 Dagon is a public high school located a few miles north of downtown Yangon,Myanmar. The former nationalist high school founded for the children of the common folk,now educates mostly the children of well-to-do Burmese families from Dagon and vicinity. Myo Min was a Burmese academic,journalist and writer,who wrote under the pen names of Nwe Soe,U Myo Min and Myint Win. He was one of the founders of the Khit-San Sarpay movement,the first modern literary movement in the history of Burmese literature. He was the longtime Professor of English at Rangoon University and later at Yangon Institute of Education. He also served in several academic and research organizations,including the Burma Historical Commission,the Burma Research Society,and the Burma Translation Society. For his services to the country,he was awarded the honorary titles of Wunna Kyawhtin in 1954 and Thiri Pyanchi in 1961 by the government.
Colonel Kyi Maung was a Burmese Army officer and politician. Originally a member of the military-backed Union Revolutionary Council that seized power in 1962,Kyi Maung resigned from the ruling council in 1963 after a public disagreement with General Ne Win,the leader of the council,on the military's long-term role in government. He joined the National League for Democracy,led by Aung San Suu Kyi,in 1988 and won a seat in the Hluttaw from Bahan Township in the 1990 general election. He was vice-chairman of the NLD from 1988 to 1997. He was imprisoned four times for a total of 12 years by successive military governments.
Myanmar National Education Law,enacted on 30 September 2014,is designed to reform the country's outdated education system. Drafted in March 2014,the bill was passed after being sent back to the floor by President Thein Sein with 25 proposed changes,19 of which were accepted. From the beginning of its drafting process,the law faced criticism from students and teachers unions as well as various civil society groups. Htin Kyaw is a Burmese politician,writer and scholar who served as the ninth president of Myanmar from 30 March 2016 to 21 March 2018. He was the first elected president to hold the office with no ties to the military since the 1962 coup d'état. The second son of scholar Min Thu Wun,Htin Kyaw had held various positions in the education,planning and treasury ministries in prior governments.

Prior to this,he was the chairman of Union Democratic Party and founder of the People Democracy Party which was later merged with Union Democratic Party.
Myint Myint Khin was a Burmese medical professor and writer. An English major at the University of Rangoon,she was the chair of the Department of Medicine of the Institute of Medicine,Mandalay from 1965 to 1984,and served as a consultant at the World Health Organization from 1985 to 1991. Her literary career began in 1996,spurred on by the HIV/AIDS crisis in the country. She published 11 books in Burmese and two in English. At the time of her death,the former professor was collaborating on an English language book on the history of medical education in the country.
Thiri Pyanchi Ba ThanFRCS FACS FICS was a Burmese medical surgeon,educator and administrator. The first Burmese police surgeon in British Burma,Ba Than founded and ran the main hospital in Rangoon (Yangon) as well as the wartime medical and nursing schools during the Japanese occupation of the country (1942–1945). After the country's independence in 1948,Ba Than served several terms as dean and rector of the main medical universities in Rangoon and Mandalay until two months before his death in 1971.
Thiri Pyanchi Min Sein was a Burmese physician,educator and administrator. The first Burmese dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Rangoon University in British Burma,Min Sein was one of the small group of senior physicians that rebuilt and expanded the country's medical education system from the ground up after the country's independence in 1948. He served as the dean of the medical school four times between 1947 and 1959,and led the Burma Medical Research Institute,the Burma Medical Association and the Burma Olympic Committee.
Raschid also Yar Shit,an Indian Myanmar Muslim,was the first chairman of the All Burma Federation of Student Unions,politician and active in the student movement against the ruling British.
