Kyra Zagorsky (born June 6, 1976) [1] is an American film and television actress. She has acted in the TV series Helix , the film The Pastor's Wife and season eight of the TV series Supernatural .
Zagorsky was born in New York [2] and raised in the mountains in a small town in Colorado. [2] She grew up in the outdoors, and was an athlete and dancer throughout school. She began acting in her senior year of high school, when she auditioned for the school musical and was cast as one of the leads.[ citation needed ]
Zagorsky went on to receive a bachelor of fine arts [2] in theatre from Southern Oregon University in Ashland. In 2006, she earned a master of fine arts degree in acting from the University of California, Irvine. [3]
Zagorsky's most notable role was Dr. Julia Walker in Helix . [2] [4] She had guest-star appearances in SyFy's Continuum [5] in its final season, as well as Stargate: Atlantis [2] and Stargate Universe , The CW's Supernatural , [2] [6] FOX's Fringe , [2] TNT's Falling Skies and in the award-winning web series Divine. [6] Zagorsky took on a lead role in the film The ABCs of Death , [6] "a 26-chapter anthology that showcases death in all its vicious wonder and brutal beauty", which premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival and in the zombie horror film Toxin 3D. Zagorsky married Canadian actor Patrick Sabongui in 2002. [1] They have a son and a daughter. [2]

Stargate is a military science fiction media franchise based on the film directed by Roland Emmerich, which he co-wrote with producer Dean Devlin. The franchise is based on the idea of an alien wormhole device that enables nearly instantaneous travel across the cosmos. The franchise began with the film Stargate, released on October 28, 1994, by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Carolco, which grossed US$197 million worldwide. In 1997, Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner created a television series titled Stargate SG-1 as a sequel to the film. Stargate Universe is a military science fiction drama television series and part of MGM's Stargate franchise. It follows the adventures of a present-day, multinational exploration team traveling on the Ancient spaceship Destiny several billion light years distant from the Milky Way Galaxy. They are now trying to figure out a way to return to Earth, while simultaneously trying to explore and to survive in their unknown area of the universe. The series, created by Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper, premiered in the United States on Syfy on October 2, 2009. The series featured an ensemble cast and was primarily filmed in and around Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. A second season of 20 episodes was announced by Syfy in December 2009.

Moore, Lynda Obst, Steven Maeda, and Cameron Porsandeh, with Maeda serving as day-to-day showrunner. On April 29, 2015, Syfy announced that the show was canceled after two seasons.
