He wrote The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, a history of Nazi Germany that has been read by many and cited in scholarly works for more than 50 years. Murrow for what became a CBS radio team of journalists known as "Murrow's Boys". Viva América was an American musical radio program which was broadcast live over the CBS radio network and to North and South America over the "La Cadena de las Américas" during the 1940s (1942–1949) in support of Pan-Americanism during World War II. It was also broadcast for the benefit of members of the armed forces in Europe during World War II over the Armed Forces Network. Williams for businessman Jacob Jay Paley (1885-1960) and his wife Lilian Paley (Sevin) (1893-1954). The 13 bedroom, 15,100 sqft house was built in 1935 on a six-acre estate.
