The Lagos State Ministry of Justice is the state government ministry, concerned with the administration of justice. [1] The Ministry is under the coordination of the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, who is often assisted by the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary. [2]

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Solicitor General of India</span>

The Solicitor General of India (SGI) is subordinate to the Attorney General for India. They are the second-highest law officer of the country, assists the Attorney General, and is assisted by Additional Solicitors General of India. The SGI and the Addl. SGIs advise the Government and appear on behalf of the Union of India in terms of the Law Officers Rules, 1972. However, unlike the post of Attorney General for India, which is a Constitutional post under Article 76 of the Constitution of India, the posts of the Solicitor General and the Additional Solicitors General are merely statutory.

The Attorney General of Kenya is the head of the Kenyan State Law Office, the principal legal adviser to the government of Kenya, and ex officio Member of Parliament and Cabinet. The current attorney general, Justin Muturi, was nominated by the President William Ruto in October 2022. Oluyemi Oluleke Osinbajo is a Nigerian lawyer, professor, and politician who is the 14th and current Vice President of Nigeria since 2015. A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he previously served as Attorney General of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007 and holds the title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria. In April 2022, he announced his intention to run for the APC nomination for President of Nigeria in the 2023 presidential election. He was third in the APC presidential primaries held in June 2022 with a total of 235 votes from the delegates.

The Lagos State Ministry of Transport is the government ministry responsible for transportation in Lagos State, Nigeria. In 1984, under the administration of Governor Gbolahan Mudasiru, the Ministry of Transportation was merged with the Ministry of Works and became the Ministry of Works and Transport. Attorney General of Lagos state also known as Lagos State Commissioner for Justice is the head of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice. The officer's duty is to ensure that "the laws of the state are uniformly and adequately enforced". The Attorney General carries out the responsibilities of the office through the Ministry of Justice. The Attorney General is appointed to a four-years term, with a maximum of two terms, by the Governor subject to the approval of the State House of Assembly. Solicitor General for New South Wales, known informally as the Solicitor General, is one of the Law Officers of the Crown, and the deputy of the Attorney General. They can exercise the powers of the Attorney General in the Attorney General's absence. The Solicitor General acts alongside the Crown Advocate, and Crown Solicitor, and serves as one of the legal and constitutional advisers of the Crown and its government in the Australian state of New South Wales.

Moyosore Jubril Onigbanjo is a Nigerian lawyer and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). He is the 16th Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Lagos State.

Aisha Dikko is the current attorney general and Commissioner of Justice for Ministry of Justice. She was sworn as attorney general and Commissioner of Justice of Kaduna State on 12 July 2019 under the governance of Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai.
