The Lagos State Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development is the state government ministry, charged with the responsibility to plan, devise and implement the state policies on Waterfront Infrastructure Development.

The defunct Lagos State Waterfront & Tourism Development Corporation was transformed into the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development in June 2007.

This was in accordance with the Administration's commitment to ensuring rapid waterfront development and coastal conservation across the state by providing necessary and world-class infrastructure.

This has aided in the prevention of ocean surges, flooding, and unlawful activities along the waterfront, as well as the promotion of a sustainable environment. [1]
