Laholms tidning is a Swedish newspaper that was published six days a week from Laholm, Sweden. In 2018 it filed for bankruptcy. [1] In 2019 Bonnier News bought the remnants. It is, as of 2021, an online section of Helsingborgs Dagblad as well as a free weekly paper newspaper [2] [3]

History and profile

Laholms tidning was first published on 5 December 1931, originally printed every second day. The paper was bought by the farmers movement in 1932. It has had extensive collaborations with Hallands Nyheter , due shared background in the farmers movement.

Sanna Viktoria Nielsen is a Swedish singer and television presenter. On her seventh attempt, she won Melodifestivalen in 2014 with the song "Undo" and so represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark, finishing in 3rd place overall. Falkenbergs Tidning was a conservative newspaper, published in Falkenberg between 1875 and 1954. It was also an advertising broschure/free newspaper, published between 1993 and 2005. It was the first newspaper published in Falkenberg, and remained the largest newspaper in town until the 1930s. Its position was however overtaken by Hallands Nyheter.

ProCivitas Private Gymnasium is a Swedish upper secondary school, offering courses in studies of society and science, and Economy and law. Kristina Borg née Jönsdotter (1844–1928) was a Swedish newspaper publisher, suffragist and peace activist who became prominent in Helsingborg in the early 20th century. In 1869, she married Fredrik Borg, the editor of Öresundsposten, a daily newspaper published in the city. When her husband died in 1895, she acquired the newspaper, becoming its publisher in 1913. In addition to considerable success with the paper, Borg chaired the Helsingborg branch of the National Association for Women’s Suffrage and was also on the board of the national organization. An early proponent of the peace movement, she was a member of Sveriges Kvinnliga Fredsförening, the women's peace movement. She was one of two Swedish delegates to attend the 1906 peace congress in Milan.
