Lahore Bar Association is a professional organization of lawyers in Lahore, Pakistan. Its members historically played a major role in the Pakistani independence movement. It is the biggest Bar in Asia [1]

Latif Khosa is a Pakistani lawyer and politician who is an advocate in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He served as the Governor of Punjab from 2011 to 2013. He is the incumbent Member of National Assembly Pakistan from NA-122 Lahore since 10 February 2024. He was a senator from 2003 to 2009, the attorney general of Pakistan in 2008 to 2009 and the Federal advisor of Information Technology & Telecommunication from 2009 to 2010. Khosa also remained a member of the Pakistan Bar Council and served as its Executive Committee's chairman. He co-authored an electoral fraud report with former prime minister Benazir Bhutto shortly before her assassination in December 2007. Khosa had been one of Bhutto's aides. Khosa joined PTI in 2022.

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBAP) is an association established in 1989 comprising the supreme court lawyers in Pakistan. The Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act 1973 provides for the forming, recognition and functioning of Bar Associations for supreme court lawyers working under the control of Pakistan Bar Council. It is an independent Bar association whose aim is to uphold the rule of law and the cause of justice and protect and promote the interest of the legal profession as well as that of the public.

Muhammad Akram Sheikh is a Pakistani attorney in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He remained member Pakistan Bar Council and President Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan. His two son are Advocate and member of Lahore High Court Bar Association. He also enjoyed the office of Ambassador -at-Large of Pakistan dully appointed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He was closely associated with Barrister Ijaz Husain Batalvi and his elder son Raheel Kamran Sheikh member Pakistan Bar Council also joined Ijaz Husain Batalvi Chamber where Akhtar Aly Kureshy Advocate was there to welcome him and now he has been elevated to the Judge of Lahore High Court, Lahore. He was appointed Public Prosecutor in General Pervez Musharraf High Treason case, a noval case in the history of Pakistan to uphold the supremacy of Constitution in which General Pervez Musharraf was sentenced to death, a new milestone.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council also known as KP Bar Council is a statutory & deliberative assembly of lawyers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for safeguarding the rights, interests and privileges of practicing lawyers, within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The council also works on regulating the conduct of lawyers and helping them in the administration of justice. It came into being as a result of the promulgation of the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973. The Council commenced functioning with effect on 1 January 1974. All lower court and Peshawar High Court lawyers within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are licensed with this council.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Balochistan Bar Council</span>

The Balochistan Bar Council is a statutory & deliberative assembly of lawyers in Balochistan for safeguarding the rights, interests and privileges of practicing lawyers, within Balochistan province of Pakistan. The Council also regulates the conduct of lawyers and helps in the administration of justice. It has been constituted by Section 3(ii) of the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973 of Constitution of Pakistan. All lower court and Balochistan High Court lawyers within Balochistan are licensed with this council.

The seven Bar Councils in Pakistan came into being as a result of enactment of Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act 1973. These Bar Councils regulate legal professionals across provincial, territorial and national level. All bar associations in the country are affiliated to and work under the control of one of these bar councils.

Umar Ata Bandial is a Pakistani jurist who served as the 28th Chief Justice of Pakistan from February 2022 to September 2023. He was appointed as the Chief Justice after the approval by President Arif Alvi on 13 January 2022, after which he assumed his office on 2 February 2022 and retired on 16 September 2023.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ahmad Awais</span> Pakistani Supreme Court advocator

Ahmad Awais is a senior Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan, who also served as Advocate General Punjab from 2018 to 2023, in the PTI Government 2018. He also remained the President of Lahore High Court Bar Association, Lahore from 2004 to 2005. He is senior member of PTI and brother in law of General Hamid Gul who remained Chief of ISI. In his election campaign when he was contesting Bar election of High Court Bar Association he claimed that he will conduct criminal trial, in the Bar, of the dictator General Pervez Musharraf. His sons and son in law, are also advocates and member of the Bar Association.
