Life and career

Laith Pharaon was born on September 8, 1968, in London, UK to Ghaith Pharaon [6] and Hala Pharaon.

Entrepreneurship

Pharaon is founder and chief executive officer of Orca Holding, an international investment holding company based in Valletta (Malta), with affiliated companies in several countries. [7] [8] [9] He is a member of the board of directors of National Refinery Limited [10] [ dead link ] and Attock Refinery Limited. [11]

Racing titles and achievements

From 1995 to 2006, Laith Pharaon competed internationally in offshore Motonautics races Class 1. He was inducted into the American Power Boat Association (APBA) Hall of Champions in 1996. [12] He won 4 races of the World Championship F1; a Championship of the USA (1996); European and World Titles (1997); Pole Position World Title (1998).

The format of two races per weekend was a new feature for 2009, introduced by series promoter Nicolo di San Germano at the official pre-season meeting in March. Guido Cappellini, driving for Zepter Team, was drivers' champion, securing an unprecedented tenth championship crown before retiring at the end of the year.

The 2013 UIM F1 H2O World Championship was the 30th season of Formula 1 Powerboat racing. For the first time in the championship's history, there was an event held in South America, with the first race of the year taking place in Brasilia on 1 and 2 June. In addition, the series' 250th race since it began in 1981 took place on 2 October at the Grand Prix of China in Liuzhou.

The 2017 UIM F1 H2O World Championship was the 34th season of Formula 1 Powerboat racing. An initial seven race calendar was released at the end of January, with the championship scheduled to begin in Portimão, Portugal on 23 April and conclude in Sharjah, UAE on 15 December.
