Lake Nyabikere is a lake located in the Kabarole district of Uganda. The lake is also known as "Frog Lake" since it has a variety of frog species in its waters. [1] [2] It is also a crater lake in the ranges of Mountain Rwenzori in western Uganda and a safari destination in Uganda. [3] [4] [5]
The area around Lake Nyabikere has chimpanzees, a variety of bird species, and various tree species and other plant species and acts as a tourist destination for Uganda. [1] [5]
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is a zoo and safari park in San Diego, California, located in San Pasqual Valley. The park houses over 3,000 animals representing more than 300 species. It houses a large array of wild and endangered animals from every continent except Antarctica. The park also includes a botanical garden with over one million plants. The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a national park in southwestern Uganda. It is part of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and is situated along the Democratic Republic of the Congo border next to the Virunga National Park and on the edge of the Albertine Rift. Composed of 321 km2 (124 sq mi) of both lowland and montane forest, it is accessible only on foot. It is a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization-designated World Heritage Site.

Mount Elgon National Park is a national park in Kenya and Uganda that lies 140 kilometres (87 mi) northeast of Lake Victoria. The park covers an area of 1,279 square kilometres (494 sq mi). The Ugandan part of the park covers 1,110 km2 (430 sq mi) while the Kenyan part covers 169 km2 (65 sq mi). The Kenyan part of the park was gazetted in 1968, the Ugandan part in 1992.

The Soga are a Bantu ethnic group native to the kingdom of Busoga in eastern Uganda. The Basoga live in Uganda's districts of Bugiri, Iganga, Jinja, Kamuli, and Mayuge though new districts were formed later like Luuka, Kaliro, Namayingo, Bugweri, Namutunba and Buyende. Situated in eastern Uganda immediately north of the equator, Busoga is bounded by Lake Kyoga to the north, the Victoria Nile to the west, the Mpologoma River to the east, and Lake Victoria to the south. Busoga is 3,443 square miles in area, with a length of about 100 miles and a width of a little over 50 miles. These natural boundaries have enabled Basoga to have a uniqueness of their own as a group.
The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a large primeval forest located in south-western Uganda and is located in three districts of Kisoro, Kabale and Kanungu. The Bwindi forest is on the edge of the Albertine Rift, the western branch of the East African Rift, at elevations ranging from 1,160 to 2,607 metres. The forest contains around 160 species of trees and over 100 species of ferns. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve was set up in 1942 on the rim of the Rift Valley.
The national parks of Rwanda are protected ecosystems and wildlife reserves located within the borders of Rwanda in east central Africa. In 2020, these protected natural zones include the Volcanoes National Park, Akagera National Park and Nyungwe Forest. Lake Bujuku is a crater lake in the Rwenzori Mountains, Kasese district, western Uganda. Its a tourist destination. The hiking trail to Lake Bujuku takes at least 3 days. The lake is 1.37 kilometres (0.85 mi) long and is situated at 3,963 metres (13,002 ft) above sea level, at the head of Bujuku valley.

The lake is also known as a habitat for crocodiles relocated from nearby lakes like Lake George as they pose a threat to human life. Lake Kibwera is a protected area managed by Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) and Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities.
