Lakeview Guest House is an official residence of the Telangana Government. [1] It was built in 2005. It was official residence of Andhra Pradesh Chief minister till 2009. [2] It is located on Raj Bhavan Road.

Ekkadu Srinivasan Lakshmi Narasimhan is an Indian former civil servant and politician who served as the first Governor of Telangana. He assumed office of the Governor of Andhra Pradesh in December 2009 and Governor of Telangana on 2 June 2014. A retired Indian Police Service officer, he previously served as the Director of the Intelligence Bureau from February 2005 to December 2006. He also served as the Governor of Chhattisgarh from 2007 to 2009. Narasimhan served as Governor for 12 years making him the longest-serving Governor in India.

K. Chandrashekar Rao Chief Minister of Telangana

Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao, better known and abbreviated as KCR , is an Indian politician serving as the first and current Chief Minister of Telangana since 2014. He is the leader and founder of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, a regional party in India. He is a Member of the Legislative Assembly (Telangana) representing the Gajwel constituency. Previously, he served as the Member of the Legislative Assembly from Siddipet and also as the Member of Parliament from Mahbubnagar, Karimnagar and Medak. He took oath as the first Chief Minister of Telangana in 2014 and was re-elected for the second term in 2018.

Telangana movement

The Telangana movement refers to a movement for the creation of a new state, Telangana, from the pre-existing state of Andhra Pradesh in India. The new state corresponds to the Telugu-speaking portions of the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad. After several years of protest and agitation, the central government, under the United Progressive Alliance, decided to bifurcate the existing Andhra Pradesh state and on 7 February 2014, the Union Cabinet unilaterally cleared the bill for the creation of Telangana. Lasting for almost a decade, this has been one of the most longlasting movements in South India. On 18 February 2014, the Lok Sabha passed the bill with a voice vote. Subsequently, the bill was passed by the Rajya Sabha two days later, on 20 February. As per the bill, Hyderabad would be the capital of Telangana, while the city would also remain the capital of residual state of Andhra Pradesh for no more than ten years. On 2 June 2014, Telangana was created.

Telangana State Guesthouse formerly Chief Minister's Camp Office is a state guest house of the State Government of Telangana, India. The camp office is converted to Office of the Inspector General (security). The building is now part of Pragathi Bhavan, the official residence of the Chief Minister of Telangana. It is located in Greenlands circle, Begumpet.

The Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, popularly known as the Telangana Act, is an Act of Indian Parliament that bifurcated the state of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and the residuary Andhra Pradesh state, as an outcome of the Telangana movement. Telangana Jana Samithi Indian political party

Telangana Jana Samithi, abbreviated as TJS, is an Indian regional political party based in Telangana, India founded by Telangana activist, M. Kodandaram. He was also the chairman of all-party Telangana Joint Action Committee (T-JAC), which lead the separate Telangana state movement from 2009. He was a professor in Political Science at Osmania University.
