Landfolk is a Danish online marketplace for curated vacation rentals. [1] [2] [3]
Landfolk was founded on February 1, 2021, in Aarhus, Denmark, by seven former colleagues from Airbnb, including Christian Schwarz Lausten and Anders Boelskifte Mogensen. [2] [1] [4] They had previously co-founded and sold the meeting-room platform Gaest.com to Airbnb in 2019. [5] Within a few months of operation, Landfolk had 100 listings, and by early 2022, the platform featured over 300 properties in Denmark. [5]
In March 2022, Landfolk received a seed investment from Heartland. [5] The funding was used for international expansion, and Landfolk launched in Norway and Germany later that year. [2]
