Lanny Barnes (born April 26, 1982) is an American biathlete who has been competing since 2004.
Her best World Cup finish was 15th in an individual event in Sweden in 2006. Barnes' best finish at the Biathlon World Championships was 39th in the pursuit event at Pyeongchang in 2009. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Barnes finished 64th in the individual event. At the 2010 Winter Olympics, she finished 78th in the 7.5 km sprint event. [1]
Barnes was named to the 2014 Winter Olympics on January 12, 2014. [2] Barnes became sick during the qualifying for the 2014 Olympics and initially finished one spot short of making the U.S. team. However, Lanny Barnes's twin sister, 2006 Olympian Tracy Barnes, gave up her own spot on the 2014 team to her sister Lanny. [3]
In 2017, Barnes, who is also an artist, began displaying works through the Art of the Olympians organization.
Ole Einar Bjørndalen is a retired Norwegian professional biathlete and coach, often referred to by the nickname, the "King of Biathlon". With 13 Winter Olympic Games medals, he is second on the list of multiple medalists behind Marit Bjørgen who has won 15 medals. He is also the most successful biathlete of all time at the Biathlon World Championships, having won 45 medals. With 95 World Cup wins, Bjørndalen is ranked first all-time for career victories on the Biathlon World Cup tour. He has won the Overall World Cup title six times, in 1997–98, in 2002–03, in 2004–05, in 2005–06, in 2007–08 and in 2008–09.
Liv Grete Skjelbreid from Hålandsdal, Fusa, near the city of Bergen in western Norway, is a former professional biathlete. On 20 March 2006, Liv Grete announced her retirement, effective at the end of the season which ended on 26 March at the Holmenkollen. She said that she was retiring because of her young daughter, Emma, her family and because she did not have the motivation to continue.

Darya Uladzimirauna Domracheva is a retired Belarusian biathlete and coach who competed in the Biathlon World Cup from 2006 to 2018. She won a gold medal in the 4×6 km relay and a silver medal in the mass start competition at the 2018 Winter Olympics, three gold medals in the pursuit, individual, and mass start competitions at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and a bronze medal in the individual competition at the 2010 Winter Olympics. In July 2023, he joined the US Biathlon team. He holds dual citizenship in New Zealand and the USA.
