The 3rd Annual Latin American Music Awards were held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. It was broadcast live on Telemundo. Singers Becky G and Diego Boneta were announced as the hosts. Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira led the nominations with nine. [2] American boy band CNCO and American singer-songwriter Prince Royce were the most awarded recipients with four each. [3] [4]

Rebbeca Marie Gomez, known professionally as Becky G, is an American singer and actress. She first gained recognition in 2011 for her cover versions of popular songs, many of which she uploaded to YouTube. One of her videos caught the attention of record producer Dr. Luke, who signed her to a recording contract with his label Kemosabe Records, an imprint of RCA Records. While working on her debut effort, Gomez collaborated with artists will.i.am, Cody Simpson and Cher Lloyd.

The Latin American Music Awards is an annual American music awards show produced by TelevisaUnivision. It is the Spanish-language counterpart of the American Music Awards (AMAs). As with AMAs, the Latin AMAs are determined by a poll of the public and music buyers and is produced by SOMOS Productions. The first Latin AMAs debuted on October 8, 2015, on Telemundo and was hosted by Lucero. The awards were not held in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, they resumed a year later.

CNCO was a boy band based in Miami, Florida. The group consisted of Richard Camacho, Erick Brian Colón, Christopher Vélez and Zabdiel De Jesús; Joel Pimentel was a member until his departure in May 2021. They won a five-year recording contract with Sony Music Latin after becoming the winning competitors of the first season of La Banda. The band toured with Ricky Martin. Their debut and second singles "Tan Fácil" and "Quisiera", charted well soon after their debut. They released their first album, Primera Cita, on August 26, 2016, which included the hit "Reggaetón Lento (Bailemos)".

The 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards, recognizes the best-selling albums, songs, and performers in Latin music in 2014, as determined by their chart performance on Billboard's weekly charts. The ceremony was broadcast live on Telemundo on April 30, 2015, from the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.

"Ganas Locas" is a 2016 song by American singer Prince Royce, featuring Puerto Rican singer Farruko. The song was released on July 14, 2017 as the fifth single taken from Royce's fifth studio album, Five (2017).

The 25th Billboard Latin Music Awards ceremony, presented by Billboard magazine, honored the best performing Latin recordings of 2017 and took place on April 26, 2018 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. Billboard presented awards in 60 categories. The ceremony was televised in the United States by Telemundo for the 20th time, and was the culmination of the Billboard Latin Music Conference, which also took place from April 23 to April 26, 2018. The latter and boyband CNCO got the most awards with three each, and the group won all of their nominations.
