In 2014 during Baltic Water Polo Championships in Vilnius, Lithuania Latvia men's national water polo team won over Ukraine with result 14:10. It was a first Latvia's victory in international matches in 50 years. [1]
Anthony Lawrence Azevedo is a Brazilian-born American water polo player. He is a 2008 Olympic silver medalist and a five-time Olympian. Nicknamed "The Savior" at one point, he is considered to be one of the best American water polo players in recent memory. He was the former captain of the US National Men's Water Polo Team. He is also a graduate of Stanford University.
