Leigh Howard is an Australian professional racing cyclist. He qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in both the Men's Madison and Men's Team Pursuit. Howard was part of the Men's team pursuit together with Kelland O'Brien, Sam Weisford and Alexander Porter. They secured a bronze medal after overlapping New Zealand who had crashed. Howard also competed in the Men's Madison where the team finished fifth with a time of 3:48.448 and therefore did not qualify for the final.

The race was run entirely in the autonomous community of Valencia with five stages covering 800.2 kilometers, starting in Castelló de la Plana and finishing in Valencia.

The 2022 Scheldeprijs was the 110th edition of the Scheldeprijs road cycling one day race, which was held on 6 April 2022. It was a 1.Pro event on the 2022 UCI ProSeries. The race, which was 198.7 kilometres (123.5 mi) long, started in Terneuzen in the Netherlands and traveled through the windy fields of Zeeland before crossing the border into Belgium and finishing in Schoten on the outskirts of Antwerp.
