Laurent Mignon (born December 28, 1963, in Paris) is an investment banker and current chairman of the management board of Wendel.

Biography

Laurent Mignon was born on December 28, 1963, in Paris. He graduated from HEC Paris in 1986 and from the Stanford Executive Program. [1]

From 1986 to 1996, he worked at Banque Indosuez, in market activities then in investment banking and financing. In 1996, he joined Schroders in London, then AGF (Assurances Générales de France) in 1997 as financial director. [2]

He was appointed member of the executive committee in 1998, Deputy Managing Director in charge of AGF Bank, AGF Asset Management and AGF Immobilier in 2002, then Deputy Managing Director in charge of the Life and Financial Services division and credit insurance in 2003. In 2006, he was appointed managing director and chairman of the executive committee. [3]

From mid-2007 to 2009, he was managing partner of Oddo & Cie. [4]

Managing Director of Natixis since 2009, he took over as head of BPCE on June 1, 2018, [5] succeeding François Pérol, who resigned. [6]

On September 1, 2022, he was appointed president of the Fédération Bancaire Française (FBF). [7]

On September 19, 2022, his departure from BPCE was announced. He is in fact appointed to the presidency of the management board of Wendel. He succeeds André François-Poncet, taking office on December 2, 2022. [8]

He has been a director of LVMH since 2023.
