The 1993 Laval municipal election took place on November 7, 1993, to elect a mayor and city councillors in Laval, Quebec. Gilles Vaillancourt was elected to a second term as mayor, and his municipal party won all but one seat on city council.

Laval is a Canadian city in southwestern Quebec, north of Montreal. It forms its own administrative region of Quebec. It is the largest suburb of Montreal, the third largest municipality in the province of Quebec, and the thirteenth largest city in Canada with a population of 422,993 in 2016.

Gilles Vaillancourt Canadian mayor

Gilles Vaillancourt is a former Canadian politician. He served as the mayor of Laval, Quebec, from June 8, 1989 until November 9, 2012, when he was charged, and ultimately found guilty, with corruption and fraud. During this time Vaillancourt was also the leader of the Parti PRO des Lavallois.
