Leafi Talataina (born 18 January 2004) is an Australian rugby union player, who plays for the Waratahs. His preferred position is flanker. [1]

Early career

Talataina was born in Melbourne and attended Fountain Gate Secondary College. [2] He was a member of the Melbourne Rebels academy, [3] He plays his club rugby for Sydney University, [4] and in 2023 and 2024 was selected to play for the Australia U20 side. [5]

Professional career

Talataina first signed professionally with the Rebels ahead of the 2023 Super Rugby Pacific season, but did not make an appearance for the side. [6] In September 2024, it was announced he had signed for the Waratahs, [7] and in November 2024 he was confirmed in the squad for the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season. [8] He made his Super Rugby debut for the Waratahs in Round 4 of the season, coming on as a replacement against the Force. [9]
