Lene Espedal (born 11 January 1983) is a retired Norwegian football midfielder.

She played junior football for Sandved IL [1] and made her senior debut Klepp IL in 1999. After a spell in Kolbotn IL she rejoined Klepp before retiring after the 2008 season. [2]

She won her sole cap for the Norway women's national football team in the 2004 Algarve Cup. [2] A prolific youth international, she was a squad member for the 2002 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship.

She played in the national team at the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup and received a gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. Ingeborg Hovland is a former Norwegian footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Klepp IL of the Toppserien. With the Norway women's national team, Hovland was an alternate for the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup and won an Olympic gold medal in 2000. She was named in Norway's squad for the 1997 and 2001 editions of the UEFA Women's Championship, as an understudy to Bente Nordby.
