Leon Opitz (born 11 April 2005) is a German professional footballer who plays as a winger for Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.

Club career

Opitz is a youth product of TSV Zarpen, SV Eichede, VfB Lübeck, Hamburger SV, and Werder Bremen. [1] On 20 April 2023, he signed a professional contract with Werder Bremen. [2] He made his senior and professional debut with Werder Bremen as late a substitute in a 4–0 Bundesliga loss to Bayern Munich on 18 August 2023. [3] He signed his first professional contract in early September. [4]

International career

Opitz is a youth international for Germany, having played up to the Germany U18s. [5]
