Leon E. Smith Jr. (born 30 May 1937,Great Bend,Kansas) was a member of the Idaho House of Representatives,having served from 1999 to 2013. Prior,he was mayor of Twin Falls and a prosecutor for Twin Falls County,Idaho. He holds a bachelor's degree from Kansas State University,and a law degree from Washburn University.
He and his wife Jan are the parents of three children.

In the Magic Valley region,Twin Falls is the largest city in a 100-mile (160 km) radius,and is the regional commercial center for south-central Idaho and northeastern Nevada. The border town resort community of Jackpot,Nevada,50 mi (80 km) south at the state line,is unofficially considered part of the greater Twin Falls area. Located on a broad plain at the south rim of the Snake River Canyon,Twin Falls,is where daredevil Evel Knievel attempted to jump across the canyon in 1974 on a steam-powered rocket. The jump site is northeast of central Twin Falls,midway between Shoshone Falls and the Perrine Bridge.

Everett Marlin Sweeley was an American football player and coach. He played fullback,halfback and end for the University of Michigan from 1899 to 1902 and was a member of Fielding H. Yost's 1901 and 1902 "Point-a-Minute" teams. He then served as the head football coach at Morningside College in 1903 and at Washington State University in 1904 and 1905. He also coached basketball and baseball at Washington State. After retiring from football,Sweeley became a lawyer and judge in Idaho.
