Two-tone or 2 tone, also known as ska-rock and ska revival, is a genre of British popular music of the late 1970s and early 1980s that fused traditional Jamaican ska, rocksteady, and reggae music with elements of punk rock and new wave music. Its name derives from 2 Tone Records, a record label founded in 1979 by Jerry Dammers of the Specials, and references a desire to transcend and defuse racial tensions in Thatcher-era Britain: many two-tone groups, such as the Specials, the Selecter and the Beat, featured a mix of black, white, and multiracial people.

Mary Anne Veronica Chambers, is a former politician in Ontario, Canada, and was named Chancellor of the University of Guelph in September 2022. She was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 2003 until 2007, and served in the cabinet in the government of Premier Dalton McGuinty.

Whims of Chambers is a studio album by the jazz bassist Paul Chambers. It was released through Blue Note Records circa January 1957. The sextet assembled for the recording consists of trumpeter Donald Byrd, saxophonist John Coltrane, guitarist Kenny Burrell, Horace Silver, Chambers and Philly Joe Jones.
The Second Maroon War of 1795–1796 was an eight-month conflict between the Maroons of Cudjoe's Town, a Maroon settlement later renamed after Governor Edward Trelawny at the end of First Maroon War, located near Trelawny Parish, Jamaica in the St James Parish, and the British colonials who controlled the island. The Windward communities of Jamaican Maroons remained neutral during this rebellion and their treaty with the British still remains in force. Accompong Town, however, sided with the colonial militias, and fought against Trelawny Town.
Eugene Oliver Palmer is a Jamaican-born British artist. His work uses archival records, photographs, and contemporary media imagery as basis for his paintings. Palmer has had a long association with art curators and exhibitors Eddie Chambers and Keith Piper and is recognised as one of the leading Black artists working in Britain. His number-1 hits as lyricist include Anita Baker's Grammy-winning hit "I Apologize", Brownstone's Grammy-nominated hit "If You Love Me", Angie Stone's "No More Rain ", the Grammy-nominated theme of 1996's Set It Off "Missing You" and Yolanda Adams "Someone Watching Over You". He is the winner of eight awards from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), has four Dove Award nominations, and his songs have been nominated for three Grammy Awards. Anita Baker won a Grammy for "I Apologize", which Chambers wrote. His songs have been performed at the Essence Awards, American Music Awards, the Goodwill Games and the White House. His prestigious appearances, in addition to acclaimed European and Japanese tours, have included the Essence Music Festival, the Congressional Black Caucus, the Apollo Theater, Constitution Hall, B. The tournament was sponsored by Royal Dutch Shell, with matches played from 27 January to 14 March 1966.
A-Imdugud, was an early ruler of the First Dynasty of Ur in the 27th century BCE. He does not appear in the Sumerian King List, but is known from an inscribed seal found in tomb PG 1236 in the Royal Cemetery at Ur, which is the largest and probably the earliest tomb structure at the cemetery.
Verone Chambers is a Jamaican sprinter. She ran for Oklahoma Baptist University, graduating in 2012 after winning 18 NAIA championship titles, a record high for OBU women. Chambers was part of Jamaica's silver-medal-winning 4x400 m relay team at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships, although she only ran in the heats. At the 2015 Pan American Games, she again ran in the 4x400 m relay for Jamaica, and won a silver medal along with Anastasia Le-Roy, Chrisann Gordon, and Bobby-Gaye Wilkins. She ran in the 4x400 m relay at the 2017 IAAF World Relays, winning third place. Chambers is from in Clarendon, Jamaica.
