Juan Leone Cruz (born June 13, 1987) is an American soccer player who played for Austin Aztex in the USL Pro.
Cruz made a total of 67 appearances for the SMU Mustangs and finished with nine goals and five assists.
Cruz also played in the USL Premier Development League for the Austin Lightning, [1] the DFW Tornados, [2] the Laredo Heat [3] [4] and the Austin Aztex U23. [5] Cruz won two PDL National Championships, the first in 2007 (Laredo) and the second in 2013 (Austin).
On January 13, 2011, Cruz was drafted in the second round (21st overall) of the 2011 MLS SuperDraft by Seattle Sounders FC. [6]
On March 1, 2012, Real Salt Lake signed Cruz to a professional contract. [7]
After a NASL championship season with the San Antonio Scorpions, Cruz re-signed with the Aztex on January 29, 2015. [8]

The 2015 Austin Aztex season was the club's fourth season of existence. The club is now playing in the United Soccer League, the third tier of the American soccer pyramid. They were previously in the USL PDL the last 3 seasons, where they won the 2013 Championship, and the appeared in the Conference Finals in 2012 and 2014. The Austin Aztex will be competing in the Western conference and will be playing their first season in the newly dubbed USL. The season will begin March 21 and conclude on September 20.
