Personal life and education

Leonora was born in Accra, Ghana. She received her early education at Bishop Joel Primary and JHS. She is an alumna of St Mary's Senior High School, Accra, where she completed her secondary school education. She studied Biological Science at the University of Ghana, Legon, she further at Accra Business School where she earned an MBA in Project Management. She continued in 2007 to study Operations and Project Management at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration. [6]

Acting career

Leonora's acting career started with a guest appearance in Ghanaian television series, Different Shades of Blue (2007). [7] In 2012 she replaced Matilda Obaseki in the Nigerian award-winning TV Series, Tinsel (TV series), playing the role of Angela Dede. [8] [9] She played "Malaika" in seven episodes of MTV drama series, Shuga . [10] [11] [12] [13] She has starred in Marrying the Game, Kpians: The Feast of Souls, Love and War, In Line, Beautiful Monster, and Desperation. [14] [15] [16]

<i>Shuga</i> (TV series) African television drama series

Shuga, also known as MTV Shuga, is a television drama that first aired in November 2009 on MTV Base as part of an initiative dubbed "MTV Staying Alive Ignite!". Its first two seasons were commissioned by MTV Networks Africa in association with The MTV Staying Alive Foundation, PEPFAR, the Partnership for an HIV-Free Generation (HFG) and the Government of Kenya, as part of a multimedia campaign to spread the message about responsible sexual behaviour and tolerance. The term Shuga is derived from the pronunciation of "Sugar" in Kenyan English.

The third season of the television drama series Shuga, dubbed Shuga Naija, was first broadcast on MTV Base from December 2013 to January 2014. The season was written by Kemi Adesoye and directed by Biyi Bandele. It starred Tiwa Savage, Chris Attoh, Maria Okanrende, Emmanuel Ikubese, Sharon Ezeamaka, Efa Iwara, Dorcas Shola Fapson, Okezie Morro, Timini Egbuson, Kachi Nnochiri, Sanni Mu'azu and Leonora Okine.
