Leroy Arthur Coury (died 22 October 2012) was a Kittitian cricketer and businessman of Lebanese descent. [1] He played in seven first-class matches for the Leeward Islands from 1964 to 1970. [2]

Leeward Islands cricket team

The Leeward Islands cricket team is a first class cricket team representing the member countries of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association, a regional association which again is part of the West Indies Cricket Board. Contrary to the normal English definition of the Leeward Islands, Dominica is not included – for cricketing purposes Dominica is a part of the Windward Islands. As such, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla, Montserrat, British Virgin Islands, US Virgin Islands and Sint Maarten are all part of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association. The team does not take part in any international competitions, but rather in inter-regional competitions in the Caribbean, such as the West Indies' Professional Cricket League, and the best players may be selected for the West Indies team, which plays international cricket. The team competes in the Professional Cricket League under the franchise name Leeward Islands Hurricanes. The Leeward Islands has won a total of ten domestic titles – four in first class cricket and six in one-day cricket, but their last title was in 1997–98 when they won the double.

Windward Islands cricket team

The Windward Islands cricket team is a cricket team representing the member countries of the Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control. The team plays in the West Indies Professional Cricket League under the franchise name Windward Islands Volcanoes.

Arthur George Barrett was a West Indian cricketer who played in six Tests from 1971 to 1975.

Hartley Leroy Alleyne is a former Barbadian first-class cricketer: a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast bowler who played for Barbados, Worcestershire, Kent and Natal between 1978-79 and 1989-90. He also played club cricket in the Lancashire League, Huddersfield League and the Birmingham League.

Antigua and Barbuda national cricket team

A cricket team representing Antigua and Barbuda has been active since the late 1890s. The Antigua and Barbuda Cricket Association is a member of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association, which itself is a member association of the West Indies Cricket Board, and players from Antigua and Barbuda generally represent the Leeward Islands cricket team at domestic level and the West Indies at international level. The team made its List A debut at the 1998 Commonwealth Games, and its Twenty20 debut at the 2006 Stanford 20/20 tournament. As of 2015, the team has played 14 List A matches and four Twenty20 matches. The team captain is Sylvester Joseph, while Ridley Jacobs is the team coach.

Rahkeem Rashawn Shane Cornwall is an Antiguan cricketer. A right-arm off-break bowler, Cornwall has played for Leeward Islands cricket team and featured in the line-up for the Antigua Hawksbills in the Caribbean Premier League. In August 2019, Cricket West Indies named him as the Championship Player of the Year. Later the same month, he made his international debut for the West Indies cricket team. He also set the record for the heaviest cricketer to play Test cricket, weighing more than 140 kg. For the Leewards Islands, he is their second highest wicket-taker in both First Class and List A cricket, while only Kieran Powell has scored more than his four List A hundreds for the side.

Ross Powell is a West Indian cricketer. He made his first-class debut on 5 March 2020, for the Leeward Islands in the 2019–20 West Indies Championship. Prior to his first-class debut, Powell had also captained the Leeward Islands' under-17 team. He made his List A debut on 7 February 2021, for the Leeward Islands, in the 2020–21 Super50 Cup.

Patrick Evanson is an Antiguan cricketer. He played in one first-class match for the Leeward Islands in 1959/60.

Yannick Leonard is a Guyanese cricketer. He played in eight first-class and two List A matches for the Leeward Islands from 2013 to 2019.

Edgar Gilbert is a Kittitian cricketer. He played in eleven first-class matches for the Leeward Islands from 1961 to 1968.
