Lester L. Erb (born April 22, 1969) is an American football coach and former player. He formerly was the running back coach and wide receivers coach at Rutgers University. [1]

Coaching career

Baltimore Ravens

Lester Erb was an offensive quality control coach for the Baltimore Ravens for two seasons.

Iowa Hawkeyes

After a year coaching tight ends at Army, Erb joined the former Ravens offensive line and assistant head coach Kirk Ferentz one year after Ferentz became the Iowa head coach, and coached running backs and wide receivers there. [2] Erb was named one of the top recruiters in the nation while coaching at Iowa. [3] [4]

Nevada

Erb spent a four years coaching special teams and running backs at Nevada.

Rutgers

On January 6, 2017, it was announced that Erb would be leaving to take over as the running back coach for Rutgers. [5] [6] In 2018 it was decided that Erb would switch from coaching running backs to wide receivers. [7] When Greg Schiano retook control of the program in 2020 it was announced that Erb would no longer be coaching for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

William John Cubit is an American football coach and former player. Cubit was the head football coach at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, first on an interim basis in the 2015 season and then promoted to the post full-time before his dismissal on March 5, 2016. Cubit served as the head football coach at Widener University from 1992 to 1996, and Western Michigan University from 2005 to 2012. Most recently, in 2019, he served as assistant head coach and running backs coach at his alma mater, the University of Delaware.

Kyle J. Flood is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the Texas Longhorns football team. He is also the former head football coach of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Flood was named the 29th head football coach of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights football team after Greg Schiano accepted the National Football League head coaching position for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is the first Rutgers football head coach to be promoted from assistant since the 1973 season. Flood is a graduate of Iona College and earned four varsity letters for the Gaels between 1989 and 1992.
