"You Keep Me Hangin' On" is a 1966 song written and composed by Holland–Dozier–Holland. It first became a popular Billboard Hot 100 number one hit for the American Motown group the Supremes in late 1966. The rock band Vanilla Fudge released a cover version the following year, which became a top ten hit. British pop singer Kim Wilde covered "You Keep Me Hangin' On" in 1986, bumping it back to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in June 1987. "Bad" is a song by American recording artist Michael Jackson. It was released by Epic Records on September 7, 1987, as the second single from Jackson's third major-label and seventh studio album of the same name. The song was written and composed by Jackson, and produced by Quincy Jones and Jackson. Jackson stated that the song was influenced by a real-life story he had read about, of a young man who tried to escape poverty by attending private school but ended up being killed when he returned home.
"I Just Can't Stop Loving You" is a 1987 duet ballad by Michael Jackson and Siedah Garrett, and was the first single released from his seventh album, Bad. The song was written by Jackson, and co-produced by Jackson and Quincy Jones. The presence of Garrett on the track was a last-minute decision by Jackson and Jones, after Jackson's first two choices for the duet, Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston, both decided against participating. Garrett, a protégé of Jones's who co-wrote another song on Bad, "Man in the Mirror", did not know that she would be singing the song until the day of the recording session. It became her first hit since Dennis Edwards' 1984 song "Don't Look Any Further".
V is the debut studio album by American singer Vanessa Hudgens, first released on September 26, 2006, via Hollywood Records. The album has been given mostly positive reviews. V debuted in the United States at twenty-four, selling 34,000 copies in its first week. The album has spawned two singles, lead "Come Back to Me" and follow-up "Say OK". Charting across Europe, the single reached the top ten in Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. In the spring of 2013, "Summertime Sadness" reached number one in Poland, Ukraine and Armenia. Over the Rainbow is the debut studio album from Italian-born American Dance singer Nocera, which was released through Sleeping Bag Records in 1987. The set, co-produced and co-written by Nocera and Floyd Fisher, featured additional contributions from songwriter/producer Peitor Angell, musician/programmer/composer Fred Zarr, producer/editor/mixer Chep Nuñez and Freestyle production duo The Latin Rascals. Two singles from this album became top ten hits on Billboard's Dance/Disco Club Play Charts: the #2 hit "Summertime Summertime" in 1986, and "Let's Go," which peaked at #8 in 1987. Another single, "Tell U So", was released in 1987. This was the only album released by Nocera as a follow up was shelved due to the closing of Sleeping Bag Records in 1992.
"Summertime Summertime" is the 1986 debut single by freestyle singer Nocera, from her 1987 debut album Over the Rainbow. Nocera co-wrote and co-produced the song with Floyd Fisher; it also featured contributions from Kurtis Mantronik and Chep Nunez (edits). This single would become Nocera's well-known track and her signature song, peaking at number 2 on Billboard's Dance/Disco Club Play chart in 1986. In 1989, the single was re-released in Europe with new mixes done by Nunez and Todd Terry, and engineered by Norty Cotto.
