The Lex van Rossen Award was an award aiming to encourage young European music photographers. Since 2008 the award was presented on an annual basis during the European music conference and showcase festival Eurosonic Noorderslag in the Dutch city of Groningen. [1] The Award was named after pop photographer Lex van Rossen, who died on February 24, 2007, at the age of 57. The Award included a gift of 2500 euro's. The Lex van Rossen Award was initiated by Popview and ceased to exist in 2011. [2]

Radio 538 Dutch radio station

Radio 538 is a Dutch commercial radio station active since 1992 and based in Hilversum. It is the second most-listened-to radio station in the Netherlands. Radio 538 refers to the wavelength that Radio Veronica was broadcast on in the seventies. This station was intended for the younger generation and is owned by Talpa Network. It plays a hybrid of current dance, R'n'B, pop and rock hits, mainly based upon the Dutch Top 40 chart. The station neither focuses on a CHR/Top-40 format, nor a more Dance-intensive approach. Radio 538 started the hip-hop and contemporary R&B program Juize, which developed into the radio station Juize.FM on 18 July 2004. Later, in 2011, Radio 538 created a sister station called TV 538.

Anouk (singer) Dutch singer-songwriter and producer

Anouk Teeuwe, professionally known by the mononym Anouk, is a Dutch singer-songwriter. After her breakthrough in 1997 with the single "Nobody's Wife", she had numerous hit singles in the Dutch and Belgian charts, such as "R U Kiddin' Me", "Michel", "Girl", "Lost", "Modern World", "Three Days in a Row", "Birds", and "Woman".

The European Border Breakers Award (EBBA) was an annual prize awarded to recognise the success of ten emerging artists or groups who reached audiences outside their own countries with their first internationally released album in the past year. Winners of a European Border Breakers Award include Adele, Dolores O'Riordan, MØ, Tiziano Ferro, Lykke Li, Katie Melua, Damien Rice, Mumford and Sons and Dua Lipa. In 2019 the prize was renamed as the Music Moves Europe Talent Awards (MMETA).

Eurosonic Noorderslag Annual music festival in Groningen

Eurosonic Noorderslag is an annual four-day music showcase festival and conference held in January in Groningen, Netherlands. The first three days of the festival (Eurosonic) feature artists from all over Europe, the last day of the festival (Noorderslag) features only Dutch artists. The conference is held during all four days of the event. Several awards are presented during Eurosonic Noorderslag: the Music Moves Europe Talent Awards, the European Festivals Awards, the Buma Cultuur Pop Award (Popprijs), the Pop Media Award, The Feather, the "Iron Venue and Festival Animals" and the Buma Music Meets Tech Award.

Buma Cultuur Pop Award

The Buma Cultuur Pop Award(De Popprijs) is presented each January to a person or artist for making the most important contribution to Dutch pop music during the past year. The winner is appointed by a professional jury.

Interactive Awards

The Interactive Awards are awarded to artists, bands and music organizations that use the internet in an inventive way to market (their) music. Since 2008 the Interactive Awards are presented on an annual basis during The European Music Conference and Showcase Festival Eurosonic Noorderslag in the Dutch city of Groningen. The award aims to encourage European talent and highlight artists and bands that inspire others in an interactive field. Two awards are presented at the Interactive Awards, namely the Company Award and the Artist Award. The Artist Award aims to highlight artists or bands with special online initiatives. The prize includes a gift of 5000 euros. The Company Award was introduced to support online (music) portals and was added to the Interactive Awards in 2010. The Interactive Awards are an initiative of internet agency theFactor.e and Dutch Music rights Foundation Buma/Stemra. The Interactive Awards are hosted by Eurosonic Noorderslag.

The Pop Media Award is an award which aims to encourage Dutch pop journalism. Since 2004 the Pop Media Award is awarded on an annual basis during the European music conference and showcase festival Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen. The Pop Media Award is awarded for the entire oeuvre of a pop journalist, mainly taking into account the achievements of the past year. The award includes a gift of 2500 euro’s. The Pop Media Award is presented by Music Centre The Netherlands.

The Feather is an award for a person within the Dutch music industry who has made an outstanding contribution to the Dutch music product in the past year. The Feather is awarded on an annual basis during the European music conference and showcase festival Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen.

European Festival Awards

The European Festival Awards were initiated in 2010 by the European festival association Yourope and the festival website Virtual Festivals Europe. The awards are presented annually in January of the following year at the European music conference and showcase festival Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen, The Netherlands. The European Festival Awards are aimed at European Festivals and their organizations, who make an important contribution to society. There are awards in 13 categories such as “Best big European festival” and “Best European festival line-up”.

Super Pop is the sixth studio album by Dutch singer and multi-instrumentalist Jett Rebel and the final piece of the last triptych that Rebel released within 12 months. The launch of Super Pop was on January 13, 2017 during Eurosonic Noorderslag. Rebel gave a special midnight performance in the record store Plato of Groningen. Fans could buy the first Super Pop album in a limited edition of pink pressed vinyl.

Annna Producer & Artist

Anna Madara Pērkone, known professionally as Annna, is a Latvian-Dutch singer, songwriter and music producer. Originally from Saulkrasti, Latvia, she moved to the Netherlands when she was 17 years old. Environmental sustainability, burnouts and dysfunctional families are major themes in her songs, and she only wears sustainable or second-hand clothes on stage.
